    My team and I were looking for painting services at one of our business'. We heard great things about Five Star Painting and reached out for a quote. We spoke to ***, he was super responsive, coming out within 48hrs for an assessment. Within a matter of two business days, he emailed a quote that seemed more than reasonable given the scope of work needing to be performed. I asked my team to reach out to ***, finalizing the details and our expectations. Once confirmed, we paid the deposit and got on their schedule to have the painting services performed. When the crew arrived, everything fell apart. The crew claimed the quote did not cover prep work, to include s**** holes that were put in with anchors. The crew said it would be an additional $300 if we wanted them to caulk and seal the holes. During this conversation, it was discovered they didn't even know what paint color we requested and would still need to leave and get it. The walls were a neutral color and I asked if they could just do a light color to keep it simple. The crew said, "that would be another $500 because of changing the color and using primer". Primer is only used on walls when doing a drastic color change to improve the overall quality of the finished product (yet again, another unnecessary charge). When we showed them a copy of the quote, they asked "well what do you want us to do, we are already here and can do the rest of the work"? I asked they perform the work we agreed upon in the quote, they refused. Since we did not agree on the work that needed to be completed, I asked they pack up their equipment and vacate the property. At this time, they proceeded to say, "If we don't perform the work now, you will lose your deposit and be charged an additional amount up to $1,000". I am writing this review to ensure no one else has to go through a crew from Five Star Painting that is rude and deceitful. If you agree on a price while conducting business, it should be honored.

    Of course we will return your money. There was massive confusion on our end. It was not necessary to reach out to the BBB. We are an accredited company and do not mean to confuse or hurt any company. This was a communication problem on our end.

    During the week of April 4-9, 2022, a Five Star Painting crew, overseen by *********************, worked in Elite Dance on an interior painting job we hired this company to complete. We pre-paid for this job in full via credit card deposit on January 15, 2022 and balance via check on March 15, 2022. Upon the crews arrival at Elite Dance on the morning of April 4, 2022, we were told our paint quality was demoted and would be downgraded to a different and lower quality paint. We were promised reimbursement for this downgrade. As of this date, no reimbursement has been provided. On Friday, April 8th, I did a walk-through with **** and noticed multiple mistakes with accent walls being painted incorrectly. He scheduled a crew to come out the following morning to fix the problems.I arrived on Saturday evening, April 9th, after the 2nd crew fixed the issues. Upon my entering the building I immediately noticed splatters of paint all over my specialty poured black rubber flooring. I also took note our accent walls were incomplete, our specialty cut sunshades were broken and no longer able to roll up or down, our baseboards were covered in paint, and our custom made ballet barres were also covered in paint. I immediately called **** who told me he was very sorry and would work on fixing the problems. Between the dates of April 9, 2022 and April 20, 2022 I emailed back and forth with ********************* and **** ** to try and find a resolution to my problems caused by your crew. It took until April 20, 2022 to finally get in touch with the owner, *************************. The first email from ***** states I am very sorry my crew left your flooring in this condition. Please trust me that we can handle this and it will be a distant memory for you. ***** hired a cleaning company, who further damaged my floors (holes/gauges/scratches in the 100s) and now ***** will no longer reply to any emails/phone calls/texts.
