1/28/2023 $2397.36 Absolutely not My vehicle has a busted engine and they were the last auto mechanic shop to work on it They over charged me and busted my vehicle They tried to make it seem like it was another problem was the reason that my vehicle is performing the way it is now I took my vehicle to them on the 28 Jan 2023 for a tune up . After the tune was done I had to take it back to them about a week and a half for what seem to be the same error code and a tapping sound I left my vehicle with them for almost 2weeks I called several times inquiring on the progress of the vehicle and the manager said that he couldn't get the vehicle started He said it had to be some wiring or a bad connection with the computer When he finally contacted me he showed me a video saying that i have some loose lifters and spring and that's what was making the tapping sound When I initially took my vehicle to them it was not tapping it was making a skipping sound because it needed a tune up. I got my vehicle back from them and hired another mechanic to look over what Midas had done He stated that there were no loose lifters and springs on the engine and what possibly happened is that whomever worked on the engine possibly dropped some type of tool or a s**** into the engine since they had the intake manifold cover off The new mechanic stated that it's going to cost over $2000 to get my vehicle back running The manager keeps stating that I have a new battery and engine starter free of cost What good is a $2397 tune up, a new battery and starter if the engine is blown He also stated that I was a fool because I wanted to seek counsel from a lawyer So naturally words were exchanged and should not have let him get me out of character. Also, the Midas manager stated that the initial mechanic that worked on vehicle had been terminated I went and got a quote from ***************** dealer on parts for tune up service and quote from O'Reilys auto parts But it did not scan well

Car wouldn't pass emission. Went next door to Midas spoke with ******* , left car with them for 5 hours to tell us what we needed to pass emissions. The sent us a quote for a new catalytic converter and o2 sensor advised I just replace o2 sensor week before . So we accept the quote for an it and bring the car back the next day for the repair . They kept car for about 5hours to do repair called us back and said work had been completed.. he said if the light was on they would clear code. ******* advised we needed to drive for 50 miles to make computer reset to pass emissions. In that time of driving the car started to make very loud noises. Took car back ******* said His people would be back on Tuesday and they can check out then . Had car put on rack to see source of noise and they said it was hole in the pipe from the converter to muffler which was leaking air . On Tuesday ******* wasn't in and we left car with another employee kept for about four hours and said welder will be in on wed . Took car back wed and was told they would have it a few hours to repair and would call when it was ready . Then not even 20 min later the owner ** called and said the hole was from rust and it broke during repair but it was going to break anyway . He said he was very experienced in this work. My problem lies with if they knew it was going to break why didn't they quote that with the repair and let the customer decide . They had the car for entire day to diagnose and it it was as bad as said why wasn't it mentioned until after they broke it . ** refused to honor anything we were told and advised we can get a mew muffler or pick up car . We left this place with more problems then we came in with and received terrible service and ** himself even hung up on our face . Wasn't rude to him and didn't speak disparaging to him . I would like a refund of all goods and services or for the damage to be repaired . It mentions no where on the paperwork about a hole or chances of one .
