In July, 2022, I contracted with My Righthand Man to do cabinet work and drywall work at my residence. I paid an initial materials deposit of $875 and then another deposit for work completed of $1400. Total Work Order amount is $2875. Upon inspection it was noted that My Righthand Man did not finish the contracted work properly nor built the cabinets to my satisfaction. There was another $600 in contracted work to complete. When the constructed work was reviewed with company representative, Jene ********* she became agitated and threatened to quit without any reimbursement for subpar work. After discussion over remaining work and repairs we settled on another work date, August ** to continue the work, but the company did not show due to ****** Another date, August *** was scheduled. I made three calls to the business in two days, on Saturday, August ** and Monday, August *** to confirm the work date I received no response. On August *** I emailed an adjusted work order with a request to either reimburse me or complete the job. I received NO phone or email response from My Righthand man. On September ** I emailed another detailed work order with a requested reimbursement amount of $1350 for subpar and uncompleted work. I had to finish some of the work myself and hire a plumber to install the sink for $357. Subpar work includes rough lumber used for cabinet construction, gaps in cabinet cupboards, cupboard floors not level with cupboard door cutouts, sink not seated into countertop, countertop not built with 1" overhang, Cabinet built to incorrect 22" depth not correct 24" depth. Remaining work to complete: rebuild countertop in order to properly seat sink, install countertop and backsplash material, install trim on countertop and backsplash, sand and putty cabinet cracks, build glass door for kitchen cabinet, install magnetic closures on doors.
