Probably the nastiest place we have ever stayed in our life. We rented two cabins for Thanksgiving week ( #** and #** ) weekend, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The cabins were infested with rats, and we even saw one eating from our dogs food bowl one night. Rat droppings were everywhere, and when we brought this to the companys attention, they admitted they were aware of the issue but did nothing to fix ****** cabin had no heat despite temperatures dropping to 20 degrees. We reported this at check-in, but instead of addressing the problem, they made us drive into town to pick up space heaters that barely worked. The cold made it impossible to use the kitchen in that cabin, and the bathroom was located downstairs, where it was freezing. To make matters worse, the door to one bedroom kept getting stuck, and my daughter was trapped inside at one point. The front door wouldnt close properly either.The cabins were also filthy. We found cobwebs, trash, food, and even solo cups under the beds. The kitchen sink in one cabin reeked of sewage, and the staff admitted they had heard about this before but still didnt address it. The sheets didnt even fit the beds properly, and there was no trash servicewe had to haul our garbage into town ourselves.On top of all this, we had to scrub the kitchen ourselves just to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. The rags we used turned black from the dirt. We spent most of our time huddled upstairs in one cabin just to stay warm, which completely ruined our holiday. Heat was never fixed. The lack of customer service was appalling. Despite reporting every issue, no one lifted a finger to help us. We even had to return the barely functioning space heaters to the office ourselves at checkout.This company clearly doesnt care about their guests. The entire experience was miserable, and we should have received a significant discount or refund. I would never recommend staying here to anyone. Dangerously unsanitary!

Cabin #** needs a lot of TLC!I asked for some to call me to address issues and no one ever got back to me. I would not stay here again.The kitchen had dirty plates, a broken microwave and VERY minimal supplies- what was supplied was either broken, bent or cheap.The kitchen table has a plug in light with only one of three bulbs *********** already used paper towel roll was provided.Upstairs bathroom light was very dim and toilet paper holder was broken. Both the upstairs bathroom and bedroom doors do not close.Light over TV in family room either doesnt work or we were unable to find the light switch.

We went there to escape from the city for a couple of days. The people that were in the neighboring room were smoking weed and the gap underneath the door in our room was large enough where the smell was coming in pretty strongly. My husband has a lung condition that causes him to cough persistently when exposed to cigarette or marijuana smoke, so I requested that they move us to a different room or advise the people in the next room to stop smoking in their room. THEY REFUSED! Our only option was to leave - and they REFUSED TO REFUND US OUR MONEY! We were there for THREE HOURS! I am so sad and disappointed about this. I was looking forward to this and needed the peaceful time so desperately.

Less than desirable and ruined our vacation that we looked forward to. We didn't feel safe sleeping in this cabin with a window pane missing upstairs. Right below the window was a roof top, where anyone or anything could come on inside. It was loosely covered with a piece of cardboard. I called the front desk and was told that I couldn't receive a refund for the first night, but I could for the second night. Also, the front desk informed me that window pane had been knocked out like that for years! There were insects in the room, other things could have crawled in. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my belongings or family, to venture out the next day like we had planned. We drove to a hotel for the next night. Because of the driving time involved and reloading the car so soon, we didn't get to experience much on our trip nor enjoy the town of ***** that I was excited to share with my family, told them about all the fun things we'd do that I remembered from my childhood. They didn't get to experience anything fun there because of this. I have pictures of this window and an insect.
