Be careful about the way their sales person sends you a quote for replacing some parts of furnace vs. what they claimed that they would replace the entire furnace.E.Smith company sent a sales person to our house to provide us with a quote to replace the entire split system for both the HVAC and the furnace. The salesman claimed that he had a background of installing the HVAC units for more than 20 years but he decided to work as a sales person. I asked him if he could check the refrigerant line. He said that he didnt have any tools to do so. Then the next day he sent a quote that was a snapshot and photos of parts with serial numbers for a furnace blower and a an evaporator coil for our current furnace which is 25 years old!!!! He also included the price for replacing the HVAC outside unit and replacing the refrigerant line. Once I sent the ************** to this sales person he denied it and he claimed that his quote was for replacing the entire system. Once I proved to him by emailing the snapshots of the serial numbers of the furnace blower and the evaporator coil that he had on his quote he never responded. This company doesnt send you a pdf file for the quote and they ask you to click on a link to see the quote. They use a software so that they have control over the content and set a date for expiration of the link. The correct way for sending a proposal is to send it via a pdf file and have an expiration date on the proposal itself.The price they quoted me was even higher than the price of another HVAC company which offered the replacement of the entire system. This a deceptive action and Im glad that I noticed that before going forward. They never admitted about what they did and told me that I made a mistake and that quote was from another company!!! Be careful and read the proposals for the serial numbers of both outside and inside units of a new HVAC. Check the Seer number. Make sure that you will ****** the serial numbers and Seer number of HVAC.
