I purchased my vehicle 6 years ago from Toyota South. On Tuesday, December 31, 2024, I brought my vehicle in for service because the **** OFF and engine lights were on.On Saturday morning, I received a call informing me the vehicle was ready. The vehicle wouldnt start, requiring a jump-start by ******.The car began shaking while driving home, and within 15 minutes, it slowed to a crawl, maxing out at 15 mph. This happened on a busy intersection, putting me in a dangerous situation.Despite calling Toyota South to report this emergency, no one followed up, forcing me to have the vehicle towed home as the dealership had already closed. On Monday, January 6, 2025, I returned the vehicle for further service. I spoke to the General Manager who was extremely helpful and professional. He provided me with a rental and ensured me that the issue would be resolved. Unfortunately, as helpful as he was, my vehicle has not been fixed as I write this letter. The vehicle was returned to me on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m. However, I had to return it yet again on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 10:10 a.m. due to the same unresolved ***********, I am being told that the service team has detected new codes. On Tuesday when I picked the vehicle, I was informed by *****, the service manager that I needed a new battery in order for the vehicle to work properly. I complied with this recommendation by purchasing and installing a battery as advised. Despite this, the same issue persists, and my vehicle remains at Toyota South. This is after paying nearly $1,****** this point, I am left to conclude one of three possibilities:My vehicle was misdiagnosed from the beginning. The diagnostic equipment being used is faulty and failed to identify the issue accurately. The mechanics are incapable of properly diagnosing or repairing my vehicle.Review from Linsey W

On November 5th I visited Toyota of South Atlanta. My vehicle would not pass emissions because the check engine light wont illuminate in the on position. ****** the service manager at the time reported to me the vehicle needed a fuel pressure sensor to fix the issue. I had the recommended service completed that still didnt fix the issue. I believe my vehicle was misdiagnosed. I was then told after a second diagnosis I need a cluster instrument panel. For the past week, I have called and visited the dealership several times with no results. Corporate has been requesting documentation for possible assistance with repairs, they havent been successful either. As a longtime customer, I am disheartened by the treatment I have received or lack there of. I expect more from Toyota South as they have been the only dealership that has worked on my car. I am requesting accountability and someone to assist with providing the necessary documents.Review from Jeremy G

I have been dealing with this dealership ever since I bought my vehicle in 2018. I have been getting regular maintenance done. Last year, I noticed some shaking in my vehicle. I was given three different suggestions on what could be wrong and had the service department attempt to fix it each time. However, even after each repair, I still feel the shaking in my vehicle. After I requested and paid for a diagnostic, I was finally informed that my vehicle will need a new transmission. I feel like a disappointed consumer, especially since I am unable to reach the service advisor because they are constantly changing and hiring new advisors. Despite leaving several voicemails for *****, the service manager, I have not received a call back. I tried contacting Toyota's engagement team, but they were unable to help since the warranty had expired. Now, I am left dealing with the dealership where it seems impossible to get in touch with anyone. I suppose I will have to start reaching out to the general manager, ***************************.Review from Kim C

Absolutely, unscrupulous! This business preys on senior citizens. My 84 year old father was defrauded twice in one week. They took full advantage of his inability to advocate for himself. My poor dad has been in the dealership every day this week seeking resolution. When I showed up today, no one could explain the math to me. My father traded in a vehicle appraised at *****. They paid of his existing balance of *****. The remaining ***** credit was not applied to his purchase. Rather it was added to the purchase price as a "down payment". The last time I checked a down payment decreased your cost, but in this case it was added to final cost. When he received the paperwork the next day he had concerns because the vehicle was sold to him as new, but it had been driven *****. They told him it was new because it had never been registered. They offered him a truly new vehicle. Unbelievably, the same math magic was applied. The ***** dollar credit has vanished. Too many ridiculous fees to list, but the last time I checked new cars came with wheels and tires. We will be pursuing arbitration and if it is not resolved we will see them in court.Review from Jennifer G

Salesman was very rude to female customers. Any time female customers would try to look at vehicles to purchase. He would demand that we get out of the way. He began to curse at the customers and issue verbal threats. Management allowed him to continue his rant for 20 minutes. Then he return inside of dealership to continue working. I had to ask to talk to the ** instead of him coming out to interview. I will never used this dealership and will let any and everyone I come across to never visit this dealership.Review from Marylene L

In May of 2023 I purchased a used ********** Passat 2016 from Toyota South and began having problems immediately. The worst problem is the oil light that comes on every 2000 miles, even after an oil change. Finally a mechanic told me he remembered this vehicle being on a "list". I went on line and accessed the **************** web site and under recalls found automobiles and found www.nhtsa.gov/ vehicle and entered my vehicle VIN number. I was shocked to see my 2016 ********** Passat was a recall. With all of the issues going on with this car, this revelation made perfect sense. This vehicle is listed as unrepaired. No stars.Review from Paula N

Toyota South Atlanta does not honor their warranty or care about customer's lives. On 2/5/24 My car from ********************** almost killed me for the 3rd time within the last 5 months. This is a car that I bought brand new from them less than 2 years ago. The engine suddenly stopped and started showing many system malfunction messages on the highway while I was driving to work. I had the car towed to Toyota South Atlanta's services. On 2/8/24 my service advisor called me and said ******************* could not find anything wrong with the car, that it was working like normal, and no failure codes were showing. I asked her how that is possible when I have pictures of the failure codes and can send it to her. The service advisor told me that even when she looked back at the history, the only failure codes that showed were dating back to the car when it caught on fire (which was the 1st time the car almost killed me). She also said ******************* was super busy so doesn't have much time to look at the car, but will hold on to the vehicle until he can look at it. I told my service advisor to call my brother and tell him exactly what she told me. It took multiple calls for my brother to reach the service advisor back, and her story changed when she realized he was knowledgeable about Toyota. The service advisor told my brother they actually saw the failure codes, but they erased them. On 2/14, a Toyota corporation case manager said that I'll get loaner vehicle and my service advisor would call me within 1 business day. I got no calls. The whole service **** never picks up their phone, so on 2/16 I went to the service manager's office to acquire about my loaner. He told me that he was expecting to have a loaner available that day or the next, and would call me. Still no calls. I called my service advisor twice on 2/19 and on 2/20, left voicemails but no response. They have kept my car for over 2 weeks. They sold me a car that put my life and my job at risk.Review from CHRISTINA M

Attempted to get our vehicle painted under a Toyota Recall. The man who handles recalls at the collision center inspected it in February 2022. We have waited and waited for a date for painting. He went out on medical leave for two months and apparently nobody handled his job. Ive been emailing and calling for months with no answer or being sent from voicemail to voicemail. I have now been blocked by that employee after reaching out to the general manager. Guess Im going to attempt to reach the owner and go to corporate.Review from Linda B

Toyota South did not honor my warranty on my tire rotation. I have a warranty on my invoice that states that I have a FREE lifetime warranty on tire rotation. A very rude tech refused to give me a free tire rotation and NEVER told me a real reason why. I spoke to a sales manager and he made the tech give me a free tire rotation. But the tech stated that it will be my last. I called and left a message with the Service Manager 3 weeks ago and he NEVER returned my call. This let's me know that they do not stand behind their words or agreements. I will NEVER go back to this disreputable place again.Review from Dee C

My vehicle has been at this dealership for over a month and is still not fixed. I am unable to get a loaner vehicle from my extended warranty department due to them only providing one if my vehicle is being worked on. My car has been sitting at the dealership for going on five weeks. I have stressed that I have no other vehicle to drive and the sense of urgency to have my car fixed in a timely manner has been a nightmare. This whole experience with this dealership and their lack of communication has been insane. I am never able to speak to anyone by phone. All they do is transfer you to voicemails which are usually full. I cannot believe I am going through this with a dealership! Unbelievable.
