I bought the car a little over 2 years ago and my key fob that was giving to me the battery went dead so I had to replace it I went to the ******** **** dealership they put the two batteries in it. They told me that this wasn't the correct key. So, they will have to make another key and reprogram the key because this is not the right key the key does not belong to my car. They told me it costs $553.00 to reprogram me another key and key fob. So, I called ********** who own the A & M motorsport dealership. I called him the first time and spoke with him they said they would call me back a month went by and no one called and I called them back two weeks ago the same thing happened but this time he told me that he had to talk with ******* he says he doesn't understand why the key is not working. When I get in the car with the key fob and the key and push the start button to start the car it says KEY NOT DETECTED and the car won't start. I told him this is the only key and key fob you gave me, and it is not working for my car. So, he said once again I'll call you back, I spoke with him two days ago and I explained that I haven't driven my car because the key fob is not working. ******** **** dealership where I live says it's not going to work until I buy the correct key and get it programmed. I asked him why did he not give me the right key it is his responsibility since I bought it from him. He should send me the right key. Once again, he said he was going to called me back, but he hasn't. He's still giving me the run around. I got this expensive luxury car with the wrong key, and he won't make things right by sending me the right key. When I bought the car, I should have gotten the right key his not my fault he gave me the wrong key. All I want him to do is either send me the correct programmed key *********** or send me a check for $553.00 to get a key and key fob programmed at my local ******** **** dealership. The last time I talked to him he said I should buy it.

    Dear *******,

Hope you are doing well, and I am sorry you are having an issue with your key. I am very glad that you are stating facts and telling the whole story as it is. As you mentioned you bought the vehicle 2 years ago. As we explained to you there is no way that your car would work fine for 2 years and now all of a sudden its a wrong key! These keys are smart keys and only ******** dealership can order and program them. Aftermarket or wrong keys would not simply work. Therefore, what you had could not be a wrong key. Now, these keys can be easily damaged if dropped or water spilled and etc. You mentioned that the dealer changed the battery and it stopped working after that. Don't you think is possible that they damage something while opening your key in order to change the battery. You are mentioning that you were told that we would call you back, but simply if you recall our last conversation we mentioned and brought up the same conversation as a key simply cannot be a wrong key and work for 2 years. It is most likey damaged due to the reasons mentioned above. Also, as we discussed before we are more than happy to call our local ******** dealer and use our discounts to order you a new key. Please let us know!

I am rejecting this response because:

    Sincerely,

************************* I  don't  expect his offer I was told by my local Mercedes  dealership that I would have my vehicle  at the dealership in order  to reprogram the new key.I would rather for him to send me the $553.00 plus the tax so I can get the key made myself, I have to pay a tow service to take the car to the dealership  to have them to program it,that's out of my pocket &it shouldn't  be I did'nt give myself  the wrong key.

    Hi,

As mentioned in our previous respond there is no way a ******** key would be a wrong key but worked for 2 years. Also, you do not have to tow the vehicle to the dealership for a key. These keys comes programed from ******** or most Benz dealerships have a mobile service for keys.
