My husband and I brought a new construction home. The home was very poorly built, as per one of the main contractors. We were told that our house was used as a guinea pig home for the new contractor that built our home. The house is basically falling apart. Fixtures are loose & hanging off, tub in the guest bathroom has a hole, & so does the cabinet. They call themselves re cementing the garage, and it look like a 2nd grader try to repair it. WE NEED THE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY TO REACH OUT TO **, and get this house redone. Our dream literally turned into a nightmare :( It's so much more but due to the Character remaining we are unable to really say everything. It literally just looks like a five yr built our homeBusiness response

The buyer had a walk through before the closing of the home. She made a punch list and we corrected everything. She had a final walk through and she signed a document stating the home was satisfactory and all items have been corrected. At that point in time she enters the warranty phase. Unde the warranty phase nothint cosmetic is covered. Tub and cabinet damage is not covered after the closing as we cannot determine who was at fault. It's not different than taking your car back after you buy it and asking to have a scratch fixed. All of this was explained in the walk through and provided to her in a document that they signed agreeing to it.Now with that being stated, we are going to make an attempt to fix these items to help her out. The cabinet has already been fixed and we have the tub on schedule but the repairman in weeks behind. She will have to wait until we can squeeze her in.The light fixtures on the garage are normal and they function properly and They are as tight as they will get. Again, she had an inspection period before the closing where this could have been brought up. But we will make an effort to correct it to her liking but I'm not sure we will be able to make her happy. The garage she is referring to is the stucco finish that we put on the exposed block. We use a rough finish and it was there before she closed on the home. We made an effort to re do it and she still isn't happy with it. I'm not sure what else to do to make her happy with that item. It is done like every other home in the subdivision.Business response

After further reviewing this complaint, Jab construction did not enter into an agreement with the buyer of this home. ******** signature homes was the seller, not jab construction. This is not a valid complaint against the company. We do some work for for ******** signature homes so I think she is confused.
I would ask that the complaint be removed from jab construction because she did not purchase anything from jab construction. I can send you a copy of the contract showing this.

We do not agree with this reply at all. The cabinet is not fixed! No one came to look it the cabinet, light fixtures are crocked, the siding is dented in, the master bathroom tub sinks in when you're in it, the guest bathroom tube was cracked as soon as we came in it with no furniture. Jab construction company or whomever wrote this email is not being truthful. Someone need to come over and take a look or we will take further action!!!!!!!!!!. DO NOT REMOVE THIS COMPLIANT UNTIL THEY DO ALL THE REPAIRS THAT WE PUT IN WRITINGCustomer response

Purchased a home from ******************* in December 2023. Since we purchased the home we have had issues that would fall under the 1 year warranty; however, I myself along with others who purchased are unable to g4et in contact with ************. I first had a **** issue, now i am realizing i have had a plumbing issue and just never was aware as i don't frequent that bathroom where the plumbing issue is. I have since had to turn the water off to that toilet, but it has already caused mold to grow and spread all along the baseboard of the wall. If this is left untreated it could affect the health of my 3 month old son along with myself who has a weakened immune system. I am not sure how a brand new construction home is already having major issues with pluming and **** but the bottom line is he plumbing will be fixed at the builders cost as this was a s*** job and i will not be held responsible for a issue that i had zero control over happing. I have tried to reach out to ************ numerous times regarding the **** and have yet to get a returned email its been roughly 6 months of these issues. I will be paying to health environmentalist to come perform a test to determine mold if so i would gladly take the results to the local court and file in civil court as i have tried to get resolution and now it could potentially cause health and safety issues from the lack of competence from the employee the builder hired to do the plumbing.Business response

This is a different branch of JAB construction in a different town 2 hours away.I believe this complaint has been resolved. We have responsed every time she has called. The heating and air company has been 3 times and has not found anything wrong with the unit other than a pump making a noise when it drains. This is a normal noise when the drain pump turns on. The pump was replaced out of precaution. This was explained to the buyer by the heating and air technician. She does.not have major hearing and air issues that is an untrue statement. The plumbing leak was a small drip from the toilet and it has been repaired. She does not have major plumbing issues. That is an untrue statement. Some of her other statements are untrue including being able to get in contact with us. We have spoken with her many times and on several occasions we had appointments to access the home and she didnt show up. We have called her and texted her on several occasions with no response.

We are under contract with this person as a builder. We have had multiple issues with communicating with ** ****, from myself or my realtor. *** **** is failing to build a home we are under contract with to code according to NEC 2020. Multiple other contractors have been asked and stated he is doing it incorrect. *** **** failed to run conduit to an island. As seen in the photos you can tell the concrete was prepped for such but wasn’t completed correctly. He states that the island you see in the photo will have granite counters tops and not be secured to the floor and will be movable so therefore he is not running electrical to the island. The island is not a movable structure simply due to size and weight. Also with children and using that area to cook with and eat, it needs to be secured so that the floor is protected against shifting and to avoid tipping. We are paying for a forever home and he has stated multiple times that he will not be fixing any issues. We would like for the builder *** **** to repair the issues with the floor and the electric and properly follow a National Code so that our purchase from him is complete and up to code.
