FBC Roofing started a process to replace my roof in September 2023. The claim was filed and insurance cut the checks and deductible was cashed two months. The roof was not done until 5/2024 due to constant no responses to emails and voicemails. Over so many months There were many text messages, voice messages, emails sent and finally schedules were made and there were multiple no call no shows, and crews sometimes showed up with NO notice. The job took a lot longer than projected. And we have lost money based off of having to take off of work to accommodate crews having access and no calls no shows. The job wasnt even completed in may 2024, we still needed our solar panels reinstalled and that in itself was a long drawn out process which led us to have to pay higher electric bills for one or two cycles because the panels were disconnected and or not connected correctly when it was finally reinstalled. During this time from may to current date, there is debris still falling from roof that poses danger to my children and dogs. We have found multiple roofing nails all over my yard, my son stepped on a few and thank God his shoes was thick enough that it didnt penetrate his foot. There is still rocks falling from the new shingles all over my vehicles parked in my driveway. They broke out rain gutter and taped it with roofing tape, to try to repair it with no notice or accountability. I have asked management many times to review the pictures and situation. A few managers said they would get someone out here to inspect and no call no show, when calling back those managers are no longer there. I have still to get any response and or resolution to this issue. At this point small claims court is my only option.

    Update.
I was contacted by **** and ***** but they are not trying to solve the issue per se as in give me what was promised. They are trying to give me a warranty on a faulty manufactured roof that they acknowledged was a manufacturing issue. I responded by saying I do not wish for the warranty and based off the horrible experience I dont want a replacement. Im requesting a refund.

Thank you for your follow up on this issue.  In response to the customer issues, we admit there were a couple places we as a company fell short, due mostly to management/staff changes.  I was hired to the company at the end of August and ended up going out and meeting with the family and expressed my apologies and offered no excuses in that we had a lapse during that changeover.  I also addressed the granular loss from the new shingles.  I set an appointment with the shingle manufacturers representative here in Hawaii and met him at the appointment to address the concern that the shingles were loosing a lot of granules.  He was not willing to admit that there was a defect in the shingles and said that it was in the acceptable granular loss category.  With that said, I took it upon myself to provide at no charge to the homeowners a fifty year warranty from the manufacturer from date of install.  I got approval from the manufacturer representative to give them their top of the line warranty to put their mind at ease regarding the granule loss.  When last we spoke the homeowner was satisfied and Im hoping the issue is resolved.

After initially filling a claim with my insurance company to replace the roof with FBC, I decided not to go through with the complain because my insurance company's adjuster said that there was only about $2000 worth of damage. A few months later, FBC came back to ask about filing another claim, and I told them that I had already planned on doing so and was looking for quotes from multiple companies. They agreed to give me a quote, but I never received it. Once my claim came back I again asked for a quote and mailed the documents my insurance sent me. Rather than send me a quote, they send a lady to go over roof plans. I told the lady that I wanted a quote and asked what the best price to replace my roof would be. She said I had signed a contract for the agreed total amount my insurance would pay. I said I did not sign anything, so she left. A few months later I received a bill for $4175 which is 15% of the total amount my insurance company paid to get the roof replaced. I have attach an agreement they sent me saying that I agreed with their terms, but the agreement is not signed by me. At this point I already replaced my roof with another company, furthermore, I will not paid this fraudulent bill.
