My husband got into an accident with my car on Nov 23 2022, thankfully we are insured. The process has been nothing short of excruciating. My insurance company was no help and for about 4 weeks my husband and I did most of the heavy lifting trying to find a place to take my car in. We finally came to Maaco, they didnt have the best reviews and even the day we dropped off our car, a customer was complaining, but we were desperate. My biggest concern was making sure that the auto body shop communicated with me what was going on throughout the process. Id call, and 95% of the time it would go to voicemail. Sometimes I wouldnt hear from them in days. Ive been proactive in every aspect of this job. They said they couldnt get ahold of my insurance to approve the appraisal. I got ahold of them instantly and asked them to give them the green light and authorize payment. They did, it took Maaco 3 days to respond. Then were waiting on parts. Took a couple of weeks. When the parts finally come in they tell me there was missing parts, come to find out its on back order. Within minutes I asked them what parts exactly they were missing so I could look myself online, I find parts willing to ship to ******. Im ready to place the order, then Maaco responds instantly, says oh no its not on back order. That was probably the moment I realized that they were not telling me the whole truth. And from there it was just back and forth. The guy Ive been speaking too, *****, keeps telling me that my car will be worked on and that h*** make so as the parts come in theyll work on my car the same week. But week by week passes by I ask for updates and it seems theres another stall. Just in case they deny this, I have ALL the texts. My car has been there for 3 months just about and who knows if anything has even been done. And they tell me I cant take my car if I wanted tooAnyone considering coming here, look somewhere else. Its not worth the stress. Trust me.
