I am like so many others, warning of what this company is and does. I am currently getting the run around with trying to cancel this policy. Taking from teacher's retirement...it's shameful. Luckily, I was able to stop payments, but I was taken advantage of and this company should be required to pay us back our list funds.Review from Barbara B

I sent a letter 9/24 to cancel my policy up for renewal 11/24. Sent me a form, which I filled out and returned. They said the signatures did not match. I sent copies of the form, my drivers license, and a third letter with my signature confirmed by a notary on both. In the third letter I stated I did not want the policy renewed; that I did not agree to the policy at $425.12/month; and that I did not approve any further withdrawal from my bank account or my premium account for this. 10/2/24 I received a letter that the policy was cancelled. 11/12/24 they withdrew $425.12 from my bank account. I called the ********************** and was told this would be corrected and I would receive two checks in 7-10 business days. I received letters from 11/12/24 stating the policy is now $449/month, but no checks.Fidelity & Guaranty Life Response

On 8/9/2024, I received a letter that they would mark the policy as not taken and any premiums received will be refunded 60 day from the letter. Which would be October 9. However they have continued to take money from my account on October 26. I have called every other day since Oct 25, the call center ****** ***** refused to escalate to her. Everyday I get up and work hard for my money and to have someone dismiss my money, time and insult my intelligence is unbelievable. How can you try to keep someone money, when you state it will be refund back, we are beyond 60 , 90 days. I am sure that you will do the right thing refund all the premiums back so help me God.Fidelity & Guaranty Life Response

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY TO HOLD YOUR MONEY. The RATING IS 0! I requested an emergency distribution and it took 45 days of lies, mistruths, incorrect information, etc.. I spoke to several people before submitting the application to ensure a speedy process. It took the ***resentative 20 minutes to provide an email address, which turned out to be incorrect. I had to submit the application three times, although one of the ***resentatives reviewed my submitted application with me over the phone. I was told that the processing time was 7 days and that I should call back within that timeframe. When I called back, I was told that it was on hold due to an address change??? The same day, I received a letter in the mail (same address) asking me to reconsider my withdrawal request??? During the process, I had to be referred to three subject matter experts. I spoke to a total 16 people over a 45 day period. The surrender fee that was ridiculously high. On my last call, the *** went through all of my numbers and they still sent the check without processing the State taxes, although they admitted that I requested to take it out on the application. The company then told me to send back my distribution and they will process it again removing the State taxes. The taxes aren't even apart of the net distribution. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE...EVERYBODY WILL KNOW ABOUT THIS *******, TIK TOK, INSTAGRAM, ********, X, YOU NAME IT, I'M ADVERTISING IT!Fidelity & Guaranty Life Response

For years, the fees were more than what my annuity made. I'm sure my advisor made more than I have. Now getting my funds released has been a royal pain. Avoid this company at ALL costs.Fidelity & Guaranty Life Response

This company is a Scam, my Financial Advisor, said that I should move my *** money to this fund, they said to expect a 10% return for a of 2 years commitment. So I did it. I mean it was a little over 1% what a bank would give, so I had no reason to mistrust.Turns out, the commitment was for 10 years before I could take out my money, and not only that, the returns in 2 years were only 2%. I should have kept my money in fidelity, or even in the bank, Please, don't waste your time and hard earning money, this is a set back of 2 years in my ********** the way, the penalty after 2 years to take my money back to my Fidelity *** was 10%, so that gives you an idea on what kind of company you are dealing with.Fidelity & Guaranty Life Response

I took over a portion of my mothers 401K at Fidelity, I've never had an issue with them, it's been 6 years. Last year my tax *** told me to transfer $$ to the federal govt through F&G. I did. Since then the *** tells me they have no record of my money being sent. F&G swears they sent it and won't give me an EFT # for the transfer. They tell me I have to wait to the end of the years tax form to see the transfer. That's not gonna give me the info I want. I've gone back and forth with them for months and I still don't know where my $$ is. I hit a brick wall with their employees. They have sent no paperwork. If they make a comment about this, it's a lie!!Review from John G

On august 6th I called the company with my financial *** on the phone to get some clarification on interest crediting options for part of my account that was up for renewal. After getting some vague clarification we were transferred to another ***resentative to reallocate the monies that were eligable to be moved. We gave the *** the changes. I did not receive an acknowledgement letter of the changes and my account on their website still showed the old allocations. On august 26th I called and spoke with a *** who said she would mail me another copy of the acknowledgment letter. As of 9/23 still no acknowledgement letter and the website still shows my old allocations are still in effect.Fidelity & Guaranty Life Response

I called to see how to cancel my policy and changed address with rep over the phone. Rep advised I could go online to cancel my policy and would take 3-5 days to process to pay out the $3700 they owe me. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks and I still have not received my money and website says it's still in process. In response to an inquiry I was told they put a 10 day hold on it because address changed. So far there has been no response to my second inquiry. I really need this money and now will probably not have it in time to pay what I needed it for. **************** is horrible! It's money due to me!Fidelity & Guaranty Life Response
