I am writing to file a formal complaint against Inland Finance, a debt collector company, for their continuous harassment, unprofessional conduct, and violation of my rights as a consumer. I kindly request your intervention to address this matter appropriately. The following incidents have transpired, which have left me deeply troubled and highly disturbed: 1. Harassment Over Debt: Inland Finance has been incessantly harassing me regarding a debt that I owe. Their calls are relentless and disrespectful, causing undue stress and anxiety in my life. 2. Calls to My Workplace: Inland Finance has taken their harassment to an entirely new level by contacting my workplace, the ************* Navy. Their actions not only infringe upon my privacy rights but have the potential to jeopardize my standing within the Navy. 3. ************************ Despite explicitly informing Inland Finance about inconvenient times to contact me, they persistently call during these periods. They seemingly disregard my requests and repeatedly disrupt my daily activities, causing significant inconvenience. 4. Failure to Terminate Calls: According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (*****), debt collectors are required to terminate a call upon receiving a request to do so. However, Inland Finance has consistently disregarded my request to terminate the call, prolonging the duration of harassment. 5. Harassment of Others: Upon further research, I have discovered that I am not the only individual facing unwarranted harassment from Inland Finance. Numerous complaints online suggest that they have a history of harassing consumers and violating their rights. This continuous and relentless harassment not only violates the ***** and applicable laws protecting consumers' rights but also impinges upon my ability to carry out my professional duties effectively. As a member of the ************* Navy, I am extremely concerned about the implications this could have on my standing within the military.

    Business response

    10/19/2023

I left a message for ****************** on 10/10/23 after Inland Financing received a similar email outlining the complaint below. ****************** last called us on 06/05/2023 and has not returned any of our calls or emails since then. The only communication we received from ****************** was that complaint email on 10/09/23. ****************** is 79 days past due and owes Inland Financing $1,866.96 to bring the account current through October of 2023.  As a commercial lender, Inland Financing is not governed by the ****** which is for consumer lenders only. Because ****************** will not communicate with us at directly despite repeated attempts to get in contact with him, we are unable to resolve the issue without his cooperation and will continue to try to collect information to recover the debt owed. Doing so includes us continuing to call his workplace and any known associates. We are trying to locate the machines for repossession.
