    April **** We booked a room at the AmericInn by **************************We paid the amount showed on booking through the booking app.We have all the documents showing we paid the amount showed.We also received a statement from this AmericInn that shows we paid nothing and actually were charged an additional $500 Their excuse for doing this was that we were smoking in the room yet we are not people that would ever touch a cigarette nor can stand anyone that does smoke.We contacted ******* and they said they'd have someone contact ** in 7 business days.Again the owner or manager of this hotel lied to ******* stating we cussed him out and he will not talk to ** about our refund of the $500.******* also their complaint representative hung up on me when I requested to speak to their supervisor.I'm at a loss on how a company can operate so shady like when we had not made any mess nor damaged any property whatsoever and politely request our refund as they drummed up all of this on a false statement that we didn't pay for the room instead used this statement to fraudulently get an extra $500 from us.This is an outrage that anyone can just simply steal $500 from anyone if they so choose to whenever they feel like it and Wyndham resorts will back them up.Now I'm questioning whether legal assistance is the next course of action or not.We only desire our money back as the room has already been paid for.To top it off the housekeeper looked as if she were on drugs and makes me wonder if this all was orchestrated to get more money for a hotel that barely sees anybody booking there as it was near desolate when we arrived.We desire a resolution as soon as it is possible we thank you in advance looking into the matter.

    Letting you guys know that I have spoke to this guest ( *******, ******) today 5/15/2023 @ 10:27st Time.

    Refund their $500.00 And have attached the copy of their Folio as well for the proof so i hope this have resolved from my end.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

     

    We were contacted by the company Wyndham Hotels and were told they are returning the amount of $500 into our account within 5-7 business days.  We are grateful for you interceding on our behalf and appreciate the understanding.  You have been a godsend for this misunderstanding thank you
