Very unethical takeover by ***************** of our former dental office. They did not provide notice we were no longer in network so our bills for regular cleanings are hundreds of dollars rather than our $30 copay. They are now trying to find ways to bill us from years ago when it wasn't even their practice. We are getting bills from 2-3 years ago for cleanings and services our insurance was already billed for and we closed. The one time we did go for cleanings, they tried upselling us on services we were later told were not required. Their only focus is bilking people out of money.Review from Vickie J.

I VISTED THE MARSHALLTOWN LOCATION ON 8/29/2022 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY ACCEPT UNITED HEALTHCARE INSURANCE AND THE TOTAL OF MY VISIT WAS 987.00 AND MY MEDICARE INSURANCE WOULD COVER 932.00 DOLLARS, LEAVING ME A BALANCE OF 55.00 (WHICH WAS FOR NITROUS OXIDE THAT THEY TOLD ME UPFRONT THAT THEY WOULD COVER) I THEN RECEIVED A BILL FOR 619.00 ON 10/10/2022. I CALLED TO CLEAR UP THE BALANCE AND WAS TOLD BY THE BUSINESS OFFICE THAT THEY DO NOT TAKE UNITED HEALTHCARE INSURANCE AND I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE 619.00. I ASKED WHY I WAS NOT TOLD ON THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT THAT KIMBALL AND BEECHER DID NOT TAKE MY INSURANCE. THEY EXPECT ME TO KNOW MY INSURANCE BENEFITS. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF MEDICARE RECIPIENTS AND VERIFYING INACCURATE INSURANCE BENEFITS. THE OFFICE COULD HAVE TOLD ME UPFRONT THAT THEY DID NOT ACCEPT MEDICARE INSURANCE. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE MEDICARE FRAUD AND I WILL BE FILING A CLAIM FOR SUCH FRADULENT PRACTICE WITH MEDICARE.

We do appreciate your feedback, and bringing your concerns to our attention. Our Marshalltown office is not in network with the insurance you have, but fortunately we are still able to file to them. Ultimately it is your responsibility to understand your in and out of network benefits. Due to the confusion on what your insurance would cover when you see an out of network provider, I am happy to do a one time write off of your account, taking your balance to $0 as a courtesy.
