-We hired Akasha Construction to remove our existing concrete back patio and re-pour new concrete which included the back patio, stairs and fire pit area. -They began work on May 8, 2023 and we were advised it would only take 1 week to complete. -A 50% deposit in the amount of $3,650.00 paid 5/8/23 -May 16, 2023, Akasha Construction resumed work. However, before the concrete truck arrived, they demanded that we pay an additional $3,000 or all work would be undone if we didn't pay. ***** assured us that all work would be completed to our satisfaction so we agreed to proceed. His wife directed foul language at me over the situation. -There were numerous issues that occurred during the second pour; stairs had large craters and were uneven, the siding of our home was damaged in several areas, the window well was not poured correctly, started cracking right away and our window well cover no longer fits.-Punch list created and emailed to Akasha Construction 5/24/23 -Akasha was to return May 26th to fix/complete these items -June 1, 2023 Akasha Construction returned to repair and complete all work. ***** started to patch our stairs with "stucco and moose milk". However, he ran out of materials half way through and advised me that he would have to return the following Monday or Tuesday, June 5th or 6th to finish everything else. -Akasha Construction never returned and shortly after stopped responding to all of our communication -Work left uncompleted; Stairs, window well, severe cracks, repair of missed finish work, pressure washing and sealing stamped concrete, color blending patch job on fire pit area and saw cut seams, repair and clean the siding of our home.-We've received several estimates to finish the work. All contractors have advised to remove all concrete poured by Akasha Construction and start over due to major concerns with poor quality and lack of longevity. Total amount to remove and redo all concrete $8,307.50. Total amount to repair siding $700.00
