Tried to pay my debt and the company refused to take my money, then proceeded to yell at degrade me. I have never had such an experience in my life. I called to make the payment wildBusiness response

We did not refuse his payment. He refused to pay in full because he was told that we would not remove the account from credit but would report it as being paid in full once it was paid in full. He then stated that since we would not remove it from his credit that he would just stretch this out and pay over time even though he had the ability and means to pay in full now. He is upset that we will not agree to a payment agreement or remove it from his credit. The account has been due and owing since December 2023 and we are not required to set him up on any payment agreement for this justly due and owing balance.
Mr. ****** acknowledged that he owes the debt and is simply mad that his decision to not pay in a timely manner has resulted in the consequence of the account reporting to credit.
Furthermore, as a data furnisher, we are required to report accurate information to the credit bureaus which means that we must report an account as paid in full once it is paid in full and not simply remove it from credit..

I am rejecting this response because: thats simply not true. Stretch it out? I said a week or two. I simply asked a question and you said you cant take it off, I never got mad, I never said anything, except that Id rather do the payment plan instead. The reasoning was due to the fact that if there was a way for my credit to be fixed, my mother would have helped me pay until I get paid, or I could sell somthing. Obviously that not somthing I want to do and would rather had just done the 2 weeks. It was 190 dollars, I was doing 100 that day, then 94 or whatever 2 weeks later, how is that stretching it out? You said you could do payments, *** never had someone say no to half now and half in 2 weeks, thats a great payment plan, especially when you agreed before I asked the credit question. I was very respectful and in a good mood until you decided to just be mean and grumpy. Now youre trying to pretend like I was trying to stretch it out forever, which was not the case at all. I asked a simple question that you didnt like. If you cant take it off, fine, Im not mad you cant do it. Ive just always heard you can if its fast enough and you pay in full, so why not ask?

I have an open and open balance with Advantage Financial Services LLC upon multiple temps to contact this agency and resolve this debt I have been verbally berated and badgered and been denied the opportunity to resolve the debt peacefully do the point where I may have to seek out legal action the way that this company is conducting their selves is very unprofessional and hostile and emotionally damaging to debt holders.They have a representative that goes specifically by the names of ***** that tries to use manipulation and intimidation against people this should not be accepted or rewardedBusiness response

Consumer did call us on 1-10-25 and claimed that he did not know anything about the debts in our office and denied that we had ever spoken to him prior. He stated he could not do anything to take care of the debts as this time. And he did not offer any information as to how or when he could take care of the debt. He became confrontational when the representative told him we had spoken to him prior to this date and he asked the representative if he needs to get a lawyer. He became upset when the the representative told him it would be his choice if he wanted to hire a lawyer but the debts are due and owing and need to be taken care of.
We also have another debt in our office for the consumer which has already gone to court and judgment was awarded against the consumer and in our favor. Consumer has not made any attempts to pay on that debt either,.
Consumer is the one who tried to use manipulation. For example, when we spoke to him on 5-31-23 he used manipulation by claiming to "have a a very short time left to live and just wants to enjoy what life he has left" which obviously was not true as that was almost 2 years ago. He used manipulation again on the call on 1-10-25 by claiming to just have discovered the accounts on his credit and not knowing anything about the accounts even though he has called our office about the accounts prior to that call. When that didn't work he then used manipulation by threatening to hire an attorney and to file complaints against our office for "not working with him" even though he is the one who refused to pay anything or tell us how he plans to take care of the debts that he acknowledged he owes.
We have tried working with the consumer on both the Judgment and the other accounts that he owes. He never follows through with any payment he says he will make, and often uses manipulation to claim that he knows nothing about the debts or that we will not answer his questions but hangs up on us when we try to help him.

I received a call on Dec. 30th, 2024 at about 1:15pm from a debt collector named ***** handling some of my accounts that unfortunately went to collections during my cancer monitoring and treatment. I attempted to set up a payment arrangement with the collector to which he asked about how much I could afford each month. He stated he wouldn't be able to do an arrangement at that amount. I then inquired what the minimum amount each month was that I could arrange for and he stated that he didn't think I could afford it. I asked him if he wanted payment or not. From that point he hung up on me. I called back because I would like to start settling my accounts and moving forward with repayment. When I called ***** answered again and continued to refuse to work with me on creating a payment arrangement "because of my attitude". I attempted to apologize and he continued to escalate and verbally be very uncourteous to me. He then hung up on me again. I attempted to call back in hopes of getting a different representative, to which I was sent to voicemail. I left my contact information and stated I would like to create a payment arrangement. This refusal to even speak with me is so surprising, unprofessional, and down right wrong as a consumer. I've never been treated so poorly when attempting to set up a payment. When speaking with ***** I never had these problems.Business response

Consumer did talk to our office and stated an amount that she said was the most she could pay. She was informed that we could not set her up on a payment plan for that amount and she became rude and started yelling when the agent told her that she had just told him she could only pay that amount. She was informed that we would not put up with her yelling and being rude and to have a nice day and the call was ended. She called back and again was rude and yelling, the agent informed her he was done talking to her because of her attitude. We are not required to nor will we put up with such abuse. She is welcome to use our consumer portal to setup a payment agreement if she cannot be polite when talking to our agents. She can access our consumer portal at ****************************. She will need her *** account/reference number which is ****** in order to log in. If she has issues logging in we are happy to help her but only if she is being polite and not yelling when she calls our office.

I am rejecting this response because:I was not yelling when I returned the call and apologized for my quick reaction. I also explained that I have had a tough time due to dealing with cancer and bills piling. However. I doubt that ***** was able to hear any of that due to him yelling at me and refusing to speak to me. I asked to speak to someone else which I was promptly rejected. I would like to speak to another representative as soon as possible so that I can set up an arrangement with support from the staff. I do not find this request to be out of the norm *** deserve to be treated with respect.

After listening to the recorded calls again, we still do not agree with her version of the prior calls. However, we appreciate that she now acknowledges that he was "quick to react".
It is unfortunate that she is dealing with cancer but that does not mean that she can be rude or that we must put up with her being ******* also does not mean that we have to accept any payment agreement other than payment in full.
I personally tried to call her this morning and got her voice mail. She can call our office to setup a suitable payment agreement but must be polite when calling. A suitable payment agreement does not mean that we will just accept whatever she wants to pay, it means it is suitable to take care of the accounts in a short period of time. She can also setup a payment agreement through our online portal at ****************************.

This company took my car 3 months after having an title loan after I received the loan I lost my job and an was unable to make the first 2 payments my son has no way to school I have no way to my new job the manager ***** didnt want to work out no deal with me I told him I could give him the 3 payments missed he told me No he wanted 5300 dollars for an 2200 dollar loan hes racist and doesnt care about what your going throughBusiness response

Consumer is mis-stating the facts. She called our office about a specific account that she had failed to pay and ignored our calls on so it reported to her credit. She actually has two accounts in our office which I explained to her and gave her the information for both accounts.. She wanted to setup a payment agreement on just one of the accounts. I informed her we would not do that, that any payment agreement had to include both accounts. She also was upset that we would not just accept what she claimed was the only thing she could pay which was $30.00 per month even though I offered her a payment agreement on both accounts of $50.00 per month. I told her if she wanted to just pay the one account she could pay that account in full but there would not be a payment agreement setup for just one of the accounts. I did not yell at her, rather she talked over me as I was trying to work with her so I finally politely told her to "Have a Nice Day " and I ended the call. She has tried to get out of paying the justly due and owing statutory interest owed on the account by calling the original creditor and paying the the principal amount only even though the original creditor told her she still had to pay the interest and that it would not be reported to the credit bureaus as paid in full until the interest is also paid to our office.
Again, her statements are false and she is trying to get out of a justly due and owing debt.

This company keeps calling me on a debt that has been paid on May 2, 2024 via online payment services to the Original Debtor, St Al's. Any time I TRY to say something the same guy who answered the phone interrupts and starts literally BULLYING me. I worked collections years back, but we never flat out bullied the customers. (I had a 95% collection rate, cos I wasn't an a**** to others). I keep telling him my husband pays the bills, yet he has never called my husband and mocks me. This man who answered is a monster in the collections agency.Belittling people who DON'T owe you money should be ILLEGAL.I have also explained to him that my husband pays the bills because I've had several (5) head injuries resulting in concussions. He still calls me.EVERY TIME he calls I am literally left in tears. Rant over.Business response

We have explained to ****************** several times that this is a not a St. Als bill and it cannot be paid through St. Als. Just as you cannot pay ******* for something that you buy at Albertsons. We have asked her for proof of payment and she has become unreasonable each time, yelling and screaming. We do not have to put up with her abusive attitude. Unless she can provide proof of payment to Diagnostic Pathology Services or this office, she will need to pay the account. She can do so online at **************************** using her reference number of ****** or if she can be civil she can call our office and pay over the phone, or she can mail the payment to our office. If she has proof of payment she can fax it to us at ************, email it to us at ********************************* and put her reference number in the email, or she can bring it to our office. Until such time as she either pays in full or provide proof that she paid Diagnostic Pathology Services (not St. Als) the account will remain due and owing and collection efforts will continue.Initial Complaint

We do have an outstanding debtor for *************** from Gem State Radiology for date of service 7-23-23. We have not called him for a year as he claims as the we did not have the account in our office until 8-28-23. If he would return our phone calls instead of ignoring them we could get him the information on the account. We mailed him a notice in September 2023 to the same address on his complaint letting him know the account information and giving him 30 days to dispute or request validation of the debt. He failed to respond to that notice. The account will be eligible to report to his credit if not paid in full before 7-23-23. **************** should contact our office to get more information about the account instead of ignoring our phone calls.Customer response

Again, he does have a balance due and owing. We mailed him the required validation notice to the same address listed on his complaint and it did not come back undelivered by the postal service. Due to HIPAA we cannot attach a copy of the itemized statement to this complaint and because he requested no further communication from our office as a result of the complaint we also cannot mail it to him unless he contact our office and gives us permission to due so. We are attaching a copy of the required validation notice that was mailed to him in September of 2023. He failed to respond to that notice in any form and as he failed to respond to that notice the information and account is assumed to be accurate. If he would like us to mail him validation of the account he must give us permission to contact him again.Initial Complaint

This company is a complete Scam they reach out to customers via Robo Call pre recorded message. They call every day. Their responses to complaints are fake and they act as if they have never heard of the people they keep calling. This place needs to get shut down.Business response

This company incorrectly submitted a medical collection to my credit report without attempting to bill my insurance, which covers 100%. When I got them on the phone to discuss billing insurance and removing the collection from my report, their answer was "it's too late" and hung up. They didn't even try and collect the money. They were extremely rude. Will be referring to my attorney.Business response

The services in question were performed on 3-16-23. No insurance was provided to the provider at the time of service the provider mailed a final statement to ***************** on 4-30-23 to the address provided for him at the time of service. That final statement let ****************** know it was his final statement and that failure to pay within 15 days may result in further collection action. ***************** failed to respond to that statement so the account was assigned to our office on 8-15-23, We mailed a notice to ***************** on 8-17-23 to the address provided through the **** service (National Change of *************** through the postal service) and it was not returned undelivered. We also made many attempts to contact ****************** via phone. He ignored all of our calls until he finally answered on 11-16-23. During that call he stated his insurance should have paid 100% and that he would contact his insurance when he was informed there was no insurance payment. We heard nothing back from ****************** and he did not answer our calls again until 1-3-24 at which time he again claimed his insurance should have taken care of the bill but when we tried to get more information from him about his insurance he stated that he did not have time to talk about this and hung up. The account did not report to credit until 4-2-24 which is over 1 year from the date the services were performed and 5 months after we first informed him that there was no insurance payment made. He had plenty of time to clear this up with his insurance but he failed to do so, The provider shows that they did not receive any insurance information until 4-10-24 which was already past the billing time frame in his contract with his insurance so this is not covered by insurance due to his lack of providing the insurance information in a timely manner. We informed him of this on 5-16-24 when he finally made an effort to talk to our office about the insurance. He was informed by both the provider and this office that the account was past due and given ample opportunity to provide the necessary information but he failed to do so in a timely manner and as such the account is due and owing by him.
