Hired *** to remove concrete sidewalks and excavate for new curved paver pathway. Before committing to project, I expressed concern about damaging adjacent driveway during concrete removal, and suggested concrete saw might be needed along interface. *** said should be no problem. Section of driveway and adjoining border were broken with no comment on his part and no offer to discount his price based on that damage. Incidental damage can occur during such a project, but not acknowledging any responsibility for even a small measure of the repair cost indicates little regard for customer satisfaction. The paver contractor pre-painted excavation borders and despite my directions to follow that guidance and my providing a drawing to show the correct position of the walkway, he did not follow directions and I had to dig out portions by hand after he left. He decided what was satisfactory for the job, and ignored feedback from the customer.

Hired *** to level some dirt and get rid of a bunch of debris left behind on a rental property. Seemed like a nice guy and was available so I let him do it. 2 days in he destroyed and threw out 2 heated watering troughs I asked him to keep. Day 3 we talked about burning a slash pile but I told him not to do it that day because it was too windy. Day 4 I show up to property with my hay stack on fire because it was windy but he was burning anyway. Says I told him to burn it that day when I was pretty clear the day before that wind was a factor he should consider. Told me he grew up around fire and that he knew what he was doing. Even if I had, it's WINDY! Claimed I told him it HAD to be burned on that day....Good grief. Charged me for drive and mobilization time that he hadn't mentioned previously. Also charged me for time he spent putting out the fire he started. What a piece of work!Just fair warning this guy is a mess! Can't remember anything so get it in writing somehow.

*** it is sad when you make a remark F You when you have no idea what happened as I was always dealing with ***** your wife on this job. Even ***** said do not listen to you...I have a txt that says what I will do for the price of $1300.00. In that txt it also says that any changes that I will work with you on the price. As I started you made so many changes and I told ***** it will cost more. When I was done the amount of work added almost doubled the $1300.00. I told you the **** should be $2600.00 but I would take $****.00. I had all the proof on added costs of removing more materials and dispose of the materials. When I told *** the price of $****.00 you told me to F Off. You told me that you was only going to pay the $1300.00. After arguing with you over the price I told you I had no choice but to take you to small claims court. I have done probably **************** my time of doing construction and had never had to take anyone to small claims court. I told *** I would make the judge decide on the work done. ***** came back with $1630.00 in which I took instead of going through the hassle. If anyone wants to see the details of what happened call me at ************ ***
