  Hayden *** Services - ************* said that sperm evaluation appointment for our male will cost $100 regardless if he collects the sperm or if I bring it in the sample. Since he told us there won't be a price difference for the appointment we opted to bring the dog in. After the appointment, the receptionist was not present and he said they will call us to pay the bill. The receptionist calls and says we owe $400 for the appointment that includes evaluation, collection and consultation. Between booking an appointment and check in no one told me how much this appointment will cost me. The only number I was told was $100 for the appointment by ************* regardless if I bring in the sample or if it is collected by the doctor. *** I am getting calls that I owe them more money. This is very bad business practice and very stressful for me. This is considered malpractice.

  Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. ************** runs his business out of our building and we do not regulate him. However you are absolutely right he did state that a sperm evaluation was $100 whether you collect it our he does. However ************** does charge for collecting and precuring the sperm sample, as any professional would. The exam is mandated by federal law for any patient for every new issue. I am sorry for any miscommunication between you and **************. His fees are industry standard for quality reproduction in veterinary medicine.

  I am rejecting this response because: as a professional his duty is to provide the cost of every appointment prior to service being done not after. Especially when I asked if there would be a price difference in the APPOINTMENT, not just evaluation. First of all, he failed to provide correct information and secondly, now blaming on me, the customer. I already did half the work and asked him the cost, all he needed to do is provide correct information, which he failed to do so. This is basic business practice. Since I am not part of your organization, how would I know all the costs associated with different services?
