Tamarack ran a promotion in Oct-23, with a QR code to be redeemed for free ski passes. We redeemed the code for 2 tickets for each of our 4 family members. It worked fine, and we got a voucher for the free tickets.A month later they sent an email saying that we needed to complete one more step to claim our tickets, that due to a system issue the previous QR code was no longer valid and we would need to rebook our free tickets. There was a link that would give us a new code. There was also a note saying that the promotion was only good for 1 ticket per person. So we followed their instructions, and rebooked 1 free ticket per person. We checked out and the total showed zero.Later Tamarack charged us $450.77. They stated that they charged us because we put 4 tickets in the cart and the promo code was good for only 1. She pasted in a copy of the same directions that had been emailed to us. We said that the directions clearly sated that it is one ticket per person. She replied that if we had used one email per person, and got one code per person that way, then we could have used it for 4 people. She admitted that we did actually use 2 emails at first, and that it is understandable that we did not have emails for each of our children. But that we did not, so we didnt do it correctly. We replied that the instructions did not state one free ticket per person per email. We said that if we misunderstood based on their wording, we are happy to give the free tickets back. They still refused to refund the money. They said their day tickets are non-refundable. But we did not purchase a day ticket. We followed their instructions to rebook our free ticket. We never used the free tickets, as we were in dispute with them, and trying to get the money back. They are charging us on a technicality. If we misunderstood their directions to rebook the free tickets we already had, the consequence should just be that dont get the free tickets. Not that they get to charge us $450.
