Purchased a 2011 ******** GL350 in May of 2023 for $12,500 that was only worth $4k. Motorcars Express failed to disclose a plethora of issues/safety risks. While test driving the ******** I noticed how loud it was. When I asked why it was so noisy they said bc the car is a diesel. Turns out the *** had a bad wheel bearing that needed to be replaced immediately (after many conversations/insistence on my part - they paid for it but thats the tip of the ice ****). The car had MASSIVE oil leaks under the hood that needed to be serviced asap, an axle needed to be replaced asap, the check engine light came on after I drove the car all the way home (Motorcars express told me it was bc of the *** sensor - not true), the car had 3 open recalls which they did not mention, an air suspension failure light came on shortly after owning the vehicle and to top it all off the transmission needs to be replaced. Had they been honest and forthcoming, I wouldve never purchased. I begged them to take the car back and give me my money back bc I put everything I had down on this car ($4k + $2,500 trade in for my old car) plus I spent an extra $2k in repairs/improvements on the ********. Motorcars Express eventually stopped replying (I have all of these emails/messages). Finally, I got a lawyer bc these people violated the Consumer Protection Act. They responded to the demand letter and came back with an insulting offer. Essentially, they would only help me if I bought another car from them. I decided not to give them anymore of my business/time as they had obliterated my trust. Not to mention, they would only allow me to work with one employee and she was only there part time. This experience has been miserable and costly to say the least. Their only solution is selling me another car. After all the drama and deception, I just want the money back that I put into this car ($8k total) so I can buy something reliable and SAFE from a trustworthy source- not Motorcars Express.
