    *** came out to look at my furnace after it stopped working last week (mid January)After inspection, I was told that our furnace was no longer safe because the inside was rusted and starting to crack and the reason it wasn't kicking on was because of the safety switch inside. The entire unit had to be replaced Initially I was told it would be around $10,000. I was a little surprised at how high the cost was (I live in a small 1 bedroom condo) but the repair man told me he could possibly get it cheaper if he called the distributor personally. When he got off the phone he told me the cost was now $14,000.When I told him I couldn't afford to pay $14,000, he suggested that he could repair the furnace temporarily for $500 but it wasn't up to code and should only be run at about ********************************************************* if I could hold out until late March or April, they would be able to sell me a furnace for 7 or $8,000.This all seemed shady to me but not having any idea what to do in bad situation, I reluctantly let him fix the furnace because I wasn't sure how long I would be without heat. I never turned the furnace back on that night after he left because I wasn't sure if it could be a fire hazard or leaking gas. I've called ABC customer service several times over the last week and my experience has been equally as bad there. Each time being told that all of their managers or anyone who might be able to help was currently in meetings or not in the office and with a promise of a call back that still hasn't come. I'm not sure if *** will ever resolve this with me, but if you have the unfortunate experience of having your furnace break down in the middle of the winter, Id call someone besides ABC. Make a few phone calls or ****** your options, I had a competitor come put a furnace in the next day for $8,000 with no hassle at ********** only made an already very stressful situation much worse and more stressful and no one there seems to care much.

    On Dec 16, 2024, I secured the services of ABC Plumbing (************************************************************************.) regarding a small leak from the pressure relief valve on my hot water heater. My husband was in *******, so I called for service and worked with the technician. I was told by the technician that the pressure relief valve needed to be ***laced. He did not have the part in his truck - but drove to the local hardware store to purchase the valve. He ***laced the small relief vale (which took less than one hour - much of which was spent in him trying to sell me a maintenance contract).The bill came to $796.50 but being totally unaware of the costs associated for such work, I paid the amount due in full. I received an email copy of the bill which did not indicate any details - only the cost of $796.50.The next day I spoke with several neighbors about this charge and was told that they had paid around $200 for the same ***air. I also got quotes from plumbing competitors which also quoted similar $200 ***air charges. Frustrated I went to the local hardware store (where the technician purchased the valve) and saw that this hardware store charges $20 for the valve. I called ABC Plumbing and spoke with their customer experience **** he told me he would investigate. I was told that *** pricing is by the "job" - not the hour. (I should have asked for the hour pricing, since I was actually charged $776.50 per hour. The best the customer experience *** could do was to offer me a $50 credit and a $50 coupon to be used for future ABC work. In review I could have purchased a totally new hot water heater for the price I paid for this simple ***air. (I watched the technician ***lace the valve -- easily done) ************ is a SCAM and totally overpriced the job that was done. They take advantage of customers with outlandish ***air pricing. How can consumers be protected from businesses like ***.

    The worst customer service. Run don't use this company. I was stood up 4 times for service and they never bothered to call and let me know they weren't coming. When I called to complain I was told ******* ****** would call. She called my husband who was at work. I returned the call and its been 4 days and no contact. I called her again and the mailbox is full. Not surprised. They could have had two referrals by me but told my brother and a business not to use them. I didn't even think to read reviews before I hired them. RUN!!! Don't use them. It's not done.

    I called ABC for a water heater problem. A technician didn't call back. I called again at 5:00 in the afternoon and was told a technician would call back within an hour or hour and a half. Again, *** never called back.

    If I could give 0 stars I would, they have to pay for ****** bots for positive reviews. I called them out for a 3 light dashing for a pressure switch, but he tells me its my motor after sanding the igniter and take the rubber off the pressure switch - which I already did. I found the same motor for $150-450 online, and I am being charged $1200 for this motor. My tenants furnace went out Friday in the AM, I called immediately and got ABC out same day. He tells me there is nothing he can do cannot get a motor until Monday, which now I highly doubt I should have called someone else. Monday I am told they will have part and be first stop, I get a call at 9 pm from the tech after dispatch told me twice they would be out on Monday. At 9 pm I will have part and first stop Tuesday morning. I am typing this on Tuesday Night as I spoke to dispatch 3 times today, who ensured me they have part and I am next stop. I talk to the tech who just got the part and cannot get here until Wednesday. IT is 20 degrees and my tenants are freezing and I already paid $600 to get them out here. Dispatch ghosts you after 3 pm by the way. ******** company makes sense why they have a F grade on the BBB and are no longer accredited. They 100% pay for positive reviews on ******.

    Definitely is deserving of an F rating. A predatory company to be sure! On Friday, 11/29 ***** ******, a "plumber" from *** came to my home. The problem was a bad seal on the toilet. My son was taking care of this for me due to a family emergency. Along with the emergency, my husband, a plumbing inspector for the city of *******, long time plumber and union officer, recently passed away. Talk about salt in a wound! This man told my son that the toilet wasn't set correctly and needed 2 wax rings! WHAT! The toilet was installed 8 years ago and has never been a problem BECAUSE A PROFESSIONAL INSTALLED IT! so ******* later (after a senior discount) the toilet is running loud because he changed the connector twice the length it needs to be! Call the company service line and get an AI. Emailed to company..no response My son did a good thing, but this company is scamming people and is a disgrace! $1072 Help.

    NO STAR WHATSOEVER!!!! Should have read these reviews sooner! Very unsatisfactory business. Unreliable. Do not preform as promised. They schedule an appointment for one day....reschedule for the next day and at 5pm that day they reschedule for two days later. This makes it impossible to get someone in on the second day and when it's Saturday, that means double time on Sunday or waiting for Monday. Do not use this service!!! Forget their promise of call *** and it's done....it's done days or weeks from now!

    Absolute stereotype of the predatory plumbing company -- too late for me, but save yourself! The came out for a sewer gas smell for the first visit, which involved a superficial inspection that ignored the main sewer pipe, with no resolution. They returned for visit 2, cut into walls without finding the source, and assured me the only path forward was a pricey $6500 smoke test, for which I paid a $1000 deposit, but they offered a discount if I signed up for their yearly maintenance membership program, which I got suckered into. They returned for visit 3 to perform the smoke test, when they finally brought a ladder, and finally inspected the main sewer pipe and immediately found the obvious visual crack that could have been found on the day 1. They cancelled the expensive diagnostic test and rescheduled a 4th visit to come replace the pipe. For the next week, I repeatedly called the office requested a quote, only to be stonewalled with vague assurances, and was repeatedly sent the previous documents describing the smoke test that was no longer needed. I was assured that all services were rolled into one flat fee, and the price would be the same even thought the work had changed, so I planned for the $6500 quote. I got 2 other informal quotes from 2 other plumbers, which ranged from $3000-5000. Finally, a team of six plumbers arrived (no idea why so many other than to drive up the labor fees). I asked at the start to provide me a revised quote for the work, since everything I had seen prior was referring different work. I was assured it was "all the same flat fee, "so I assumed the prior $6500. Instead, I was blindsided at the end with a nearly $10000 bill. They state that they refuse to itemize for materials and labor, and bundle the work into a flat feet to obscure the actual charges. The competing plumber pricing out the materials at approx $500, which means they charged me $2300/hour for labor costs for two plumbers to replace an exposed pipe.

    ****** **** entered my home on 8/29/24 - in response to my call to ***lace attic fan that was non-functional. He inspected the equipment and informed me that the attic fan motor and thermostat needed ***lacement. I asked how much the installation would cost and he told me approximately $1300. I told him to go ahead with the job. he left my home and was gone for over 4 hours, returned to proceed with the ***lacements. After several trips back and forth to his vehicle he came down and presented me with a billing of $2058.00 with no explanation of the cost. I asked him for an itemized billing stating the equipment costs, serial numbers and warranty/guarantee after he took my credit card information. He grabbed the paperwork and headed very quickly to the door. I kept asking for the itemized billing which he would not present and turned around and the door and said there was a 30 day guarantee and bolted to his vehicle. I kept calling him on the phone with no answer. I finally called the company and registered by complaint. A *** gave me $300 refund to my credit card. (which to me admitted there was something no right. I kept asking for an itemized billing and was told "we don't do that" My question is why not.... when I go to Midas for car ***airs they give me a detailed billing with the old parts/ I asked the ***. "what are you hiding" his answer ..that's our policy. This is unacceptable. I still do not have any information about the ***lacement items, serial numbers or manufacturer warranty or guarantee.... Would appreciate an investigation and to good business practices of full disclosure..... had I known their policy.. I wouldn't have called them. Thank you in advance for looking into this issue.

    If I could give no stars. I would. *** has the worst customer service ever! The techs are very incompetent. DONT EVER LET THEM IN YOUR HOME. It will cost you. What was supposed to be an easy maintenance check. Turned into a horrible nightmare. I'M NEVER USING THEM AGAIN. I'll warn everyone I know. I should've read reviews. DONT USE THIS COMPANY.
