I am being charged fees for the lack of individual work efforts. MCgill property management has been imposing fees on my property on warning that have been repair or submitted prior to imposing the fees. I have contacted the property management but have received no response. one of the charges has double according because of the unpaid fees that I refuse to pay because all paperwork has been submitted or the fixed prior to the due date. an amount of $47 has been collected from my account, I would like a full refund of the money collected and the removal of the fees associated to my propertyBusiness response

We apologize for your frustration with regard to additional fees applied to your account. Please know that McGill only applies any additional fees at the direction of your associations board of directors. *************** has recently had a board turnover in which you can bring these additional charge disputes up with the board to see if they are willing to waive these fines. In the meantime, your assessment payments do reflect you are paid through January. We would suggest stopping any scheduled payments for January to take care of the $47.00 credit you have on the account as it will be due in a few days anyway. We've attached a current ledger of your account for your records to reflect the recent charges against payments.

I am rejecting this response because:I had emailed multiple times before the fee was applied to avoid charges but even presenting sufficient evidence to reverse or prevent the *** from assessing the fees, those fees were applied. my complain refers to the ***s lack of ethics and proffesionalism, because all evidence was emailed with enough time to avoid fees.
Sincerely,

****,
While we understand your frustration, there not only has been a change in the Board of Directors for *************** in which those members are reversing much of the prior fines assessed please understand McGill can only act as directed and the prior Board of Directors enforced / levied these fines and charges. You also have a newly assigned ********************* manager as **** ***** is no longer the Community Manager for **************** We hope these changes in both Board and Community Manager aide in lessening your frustration with prior fees and charges. The only fee pending right now on your account is the $75.00 annual leasing fee. The current board has tabled the prior boards $500.00 fee they were seeking to impose.

I am rejecting this response because: Jodis lack of responsability at communicating with the owners that seek information thru email is not the boards fault. She was unprofessional, and careless, she did not care of her actions because otherwise, we the owners, received fines left and right. Also, you are misinformed, there is no annual fee, the $ 75 applies to new leqses, and that is how all this issue started, my ******* has been there for two years going to three so most of the paperwork should have carried over with the exception of the lease paperwork. Had Mcgill do that they are getting paid for, this problem would not exist.
Sincerely,

It appears you have already been advised that the Board is reviewing the $75.00 leasing fee that was charged and will determine the credit. Once we have the formal decision by the Board, we will act accordingly (either credit the $75.00 or advise should the Board not agree to waive). Again, we apologize for the frustration but the management company does work through the Board on fees and or fines. We will be back in touch soon.Initial Complaint

McGill managment sent out maintenance to fix the dryer vent. The employee cleaned out the outside roof vent. We we sent a bill for $45, and when I spoke to ****** from McGill management in September she told me she would look into this. According to their bylaws they only charge if the inside dryer vent is cleaned. We still have not received a refund for this. My neighbor witnessed only the outside roof dryer vent being cleaned. The service is false and the interior was not cleaned.Business response

This is the first we are hearing of any concerns regarding the vent cleaning done on 8/16/2023. Our maintenance scheduled and met with someone at this address on that date. It was a man, that was present during the interior cleaning.
We first cleaned the exterior, and then the interior. The gentleman resident turned on the dryer so our guy could go back on the roof and test it after interior cleaning and everything was clear. The association was billed for the exterior cleaning, and the resident for the interior cleaning.Attached are pictures of the dryer duct having been taken apart inside the home as we were doing the interior cleaning.

I am rejecting this response because:I brought this up at a board meeting in September to ****** and was told she would look into it. I did not hear back from her about this issue. I was at home when this took place too and the maintenance employee came inside for 5 minutes if that and took the interior vent apart and said the problem is in the roof vent. My neighbor *** at **** witnessed this situation and he did not bring any machine inside our house to clean the interior. How could the interior be cleaned if he didnt bring machinery inside our house. He took apart the interior vent and said no its on the roof. He spoke to my neighbor as well before he went up on the roof and found a birds nest in the outside vent.
This is what was found inside the outside dryer vent. As you can see theres branches so it was only the exterior cleaning that was done.
Sincerely,

Maintenance was not advised of the issue you raised with ************* For that we apologize. Something we can address with her directly upon her return from maternity leave.
We use different equipment inside than we do outside. Our maintenance tech had a vacuum inside with flexible rods to free the blockages. Our tech went as far as to make a repair to attach the duct back to the ceiling more securely, using materials that we did not charge for. The pictures show that the dryer is moved, all of the ductwork detached, and the vent is clean. Which takes more than five minutes and in following up with our maintenance man he did advise a women was present but left while he was still cleaning inside.
Also, when we clean from the outside, we get nearly all of the debris, and the interior cleaning is as much a fail safe as anything else to make sure we are not missing a blockage. In this case he absolutely pulled debris from inside and even went back on the roof to verify proper airflow. He started on the exterior first.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I can speak to ****** more about this when she gets back. As for the extra materials that were used you can charge for those individually, I dont have a problem with that. There was a false accusation made about landscaping and I remembered the dryer vent incident now. Because of that I wanted to bring this up and make sure what was done with the dryer vent cleaning. I will speak to ****** when shes back and ask my neighbor what she remembers till then.
Sincerely,

Over 2 weeks ago I called my association (McGill Management) and asked for someone to come out because the brand new roof was leaking into bedroom ceiling to the point it will all need to be replaced. Keep in mind that it rained many days in between. Of course that caused damage even more damage, but this is my major issue-not that they didn't fix it in a timely manner, it is the way I was treated. I spoke to a ***** on the Saturday after the major **** and she said she will personally have "****** Exteriors" schedule them to come out. Okay I waited and waited and waited for 5 days and no one contacted me. I called the McGill phone number and the last option is press #9 if you have a water leak and this was at 2pm on a Thursday. Well, I did. I was told that if no one had contacted me in ***** Minutes to call back. So I did, several times. Never received a call back until the lady from McGill called me and yelled at me to stop bothering them. Finally today, someone came out and fixed the roof but it appears someone else has to do my ceiling which makes sense but once again no answers - I have no idea when or if they are going to come out. Oh did I mentioned that after she yelled at me she said they will be here Saturday-oops last Saturday and of course no one showed up. I stayed home all day and waited and nothing. I still work. This is an over 55 community and I am not looking for special treatment, I deserve respectful treatment. McGill management is the furthest thing from that.I am sorry but I am the one that has to worry every night that my ceiling will fall on me while I am sleeping. Not them. You know what is even worse-2 of my neighbors are on the board and will not return my calls-how nice of them.I purchased this home and paid outright for it. I plan on staying here until I die. I am almost 70 and I shouldn't have to worry constantly about this type of thing. The taxes here are bad enough!Sincere Thanks for listening to my ramblings,***************************Business response

Hello,
In speaking with the Community Manager, *****************************, she confirmed that the roof leak was reported to her in which she did immediately reach out to the vendor to inspect and make necessary repairs. Unfortunately, management is at the mercy of the vendors that are hired by the board of directors and try our best to hold them accountable to quickly remedy a homeowners issue. We are not sure who you spoke to within our office as all calls are recorded as we do not tolerate anyone of our team members to speak to a homeowner in that fashion of yelling or telling an owner not to call back.
Drywall repairs have been requested to be made to resolve the interior damage in which they will schedule with you directly.

Why would anyone think it would be ok to run tractors on lawns the day after 24 hours of severe storms? The morning of 8/30/2022 *********** landscape company hired by McGill Management ran tractors on and destroyed my lawn.Thank youBusiness response

Hello,
McGill Management does not perform nor decide who to hire to perform the landscaping for the community. Your issue with the landscaping company has been brought to the attention of your ***** of ********* as the ***** makes those decisions on who they choose to hire to work within your association.
