  Estimate given on Sat., 4/6. Received quote Sun., 4/7. *************************** mentioned during our estimate that it was possible to get this job completed in about 2wks. We agreed to do the work because of how fast it could get done and paid a $3000 deposit on Tues., 4/9. Plat of survey requested on Thurs., 4/11. ******** said that he was applying for the permit that day. We emailed plat same day, and 3 weeks go by with no response. We text Fri., 5/3 about job status. ******** stated that the Village requested revisions on his paperwork; 2 more weeks go by with no response. We text Thurs., 5/16 and then Wed., 5/29 about the job status with no responses. We text Tues., 6/4 stating in the text if we don't hear from you by "this" date then we will assume you are unable to do the work. We finally get a reply that he will be out next week for sure. Next week comes, we hear nothing. We text Mon., 6/10 about the actual start date. ******** replied on Monday that he would be out that Wed., 6/12 at 8 am. ******** calls Tues., 6/11 to reschedule for Mon., 6/17 at 8 am. Mon. comes and goes; no one shows up or even calls. I thought to reach out to the Village on Tues., 6/18 to see if there was a permit issue. The Village of ******** said that the permit was approved on 5/15, but it hasn't been paid ($250) for or even accessed. After 48hrs on Wed., 6/19, we message ******** to refund our deposit since he has failed to meet his contract obligations or even secure a permit to work on the property. ******** calls my phone a minute after the email and text messages were sent. I did not answer his call, and he did not leave a message. We stated that we were giving him 48hrs in our written communication to reply as to how he would be refunding our money. We are not confident in this company's ability to do the work and don't want to be in a situation down the line if there were ever any issues with their work of fixing any problems.
