This company is a complete waste of time and money. Ive never encountered anything like it before. They sell their services to everyone with big promises, especially regarding insurance. However, they seem to do everything possible to avoid covering anything when something actually happens. It feels more like a scam than a legitimate company or service.Review from Adela V

Claim # *4ils38756 I was hit by one of their insurer whom was at fault. They agreed to fault which I thought would make the processes faster. Nope, just as I suspected small insurance company equals crappy service. The customer service here is the worst. The "adjustor" in our claim is never available. I have left multiple voicemails to her and her "supervisor" with never a call back. They say they will call you back and nothing. Not even the **** in customer service can give you an actual status of claim. Our accident happened on 11/2024 and still nothing.Review from Jasmine I

Claim #**ILS37587. The pattern of reviews continues. 1st Chicago's insured hit me on October 27th, 20**. It is now January 7, 2025 and this claim has not been settled. Two citations for the other driver including a DUI so, fault was not a question. Provided a settlement offer that included a labor rate of $35/hr because they "have a shop that will do it for $35/hr in my geographic region". Everyone else in the Chicago west suburbs is $50+. Oh, and their Adjusters amount included $70/hr! But I contacted their preferred company anyway. Their estimate at the lower rate still came in close to the original adjusters amount (found additional damage). They applied for a Supplement on my behalf. That was several weeks ago and still no response!! And don't even get me started on the call back promise of 48 Hours! I will continue to pay a premium for an Insurance Company that has both customer service and ethics! And I will continue to find sites to review them if this is not settled in the 48 hours!Review from Amber G

Claim: 24UAR35997. This insurance company is the absolute worst! Their insured T-boned me back in Oct 2024, I took my car to the repair shop on Nov 18, 2024. First, I am paying out of pocket for a rental that they should cover. If they had to cover costs im sure the business would move swifter. Nonetheless, my car is still at the repair shop because the shop is janky and so is this company. Ive reached out to the adjuster several times through email and voicemail with no response. What is the point of having a voicemail or email when you dont answer?! Initially I thought I would get somewhere with this company but havent. How are you all allowed to tell me as the victim that I have to pay the repair shop for labor when 1, they never tore down my car or sent supporting evidence with pictures of the damage aside from the exterior. CROOKS! I will not be paying anyone. They wont total the car or breakdown because its hard to get in contact with you all. From the time, money, and emotional stress this has put on me I shouldve filed a lawsuit. The car should be a total loss. This company feels that they dont have to help the victim whatsoever. I will continue to write reviews each and every day, call, and email. Until I get justice. You will not get over on me.First Chicago Insurance Co. Response

Their insured rear ended my vehicle causing it to be a total loss on October 12th. It took them over 50 days to present an accurate settlement figure to me with zero communication after the initial contact and appraiser inspection. Their adjuster fails to respond to questions and requests with no explanation for the extensive delays in handling. I believe it is the company's standard operating procedure to operate in a nonresponsive and delayed manner in hopes customers will either go through their own ********************** or just go away. I would suspect this insurance company is not members of arbitration, so they know another insurance company will have to file in small claims court to get recovery from them which many companies will not pursue due to the additional legal costs associated. This will cause consumers to have to cover their deductible with minimal chance for recovery. I fully believe this insurance company needs either a complete and full audit by the Department of Insurance for failing to handle claims in a good faith manner or a lawsuit by the attorney general for deceptive business practices. Insurance is a contractual agreement when you purchase a policy. I believe this company fails to meet numerous contractual obligations on a regular basis in both first and third party claims handling and should likely not be allowed to be in business. This is not how insurance is supposed to operate and they give all insurance companies a bad name.First Chicago Insurance Co. Response

COMPLETE SCAM DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! someone tried to steal my car on the morning of halloween and these people have did nothing but give me the run around because they dont want to pay for it. when i started my policy there was a question asked about past accident, however the question was not clear at all. i answered no to the question. when the person that was assigned to my claim FINALLY called (after 12 days) she took a recorded statement of what happened. she asked if i had any accidents within the past 3 years. i answered yes and fully disclosed the details of the accident. the question was plain and clear this time. she then proceeds to tell me that i did not tell the representative when starting my application. if i wanted to lie about the accident why would i tell the person assigned to my claim? it was a complete and honest mistake. she told me she would investigate the accident and get back to me. she said she would keep me updated. she did not do her job at all. i spent DAYS trying to get ahold of someone. i finally was able to get the contact # of her supervisor. this was 2 weeks after the recorded statement at this point. i left her supervisor a message then she just so happens to call me within 2 hours with new updates on my claim?? lazy. just for her to tell me they have no progress on my claim and to accuse me of willingly leaving out details of my past accident. they are making it out to seem like i have lied and then told me it could take another whole month just for them to tell me if my policy is canceled and the potential theft damages will be covered or not. WHAT? lets be honest, they just do not want to pay. i know they are cheap and sometimes that is the more convenient option but please learn from my expensive ****** and go with someone else! you will regret going with first chicago when you actually need them. these people are complete scammers!First Chicago Insurance Co. 2 out 10 worst insurance company I have a claim from 2/13/2023 with unpaid medical bills. Claim number is 23INA03103 myself and my agent ******* has contacted my insurance adjuster over 20 times since I first started getting bills from ********************* Emergency room. Weve left numerous emails , faxed paperwork that was needed over 4 times, had all 3 of us on phone to try and resolve this issue several times , contacted her leaderships and still nothing. This bill is almost 2 years old and still saying pending. Im now receiving collections notices from *** demanding I pay or they are going to start the process of garnishing my check. Im sorry that I have to contact you but Im trying to get this resolved asap everything else was paid my car fixed and my rental but yet my medical emergency bill is left unpaid. Can you please help or send to someone that can help or assist me in this matter. I dont want to get representation/attorney involved but thats what its leaning towards.
