My mom, *****************************, was buried at Lincoln Cemetary on January 22, 2024. I stayed at her gravesite until the two ground personnel empty all the dirt in the dump truck; the dirt was not enough to fill the opening. I left as they were distributing what they had. I returned January 27, 2024, to lay flowers at her site and found the gravesite in disarray and missing approximately 1 1/2 foot of dirt. I drove to ***** S Kedzie and called the number on the gate, because the sign stated you couldn't see anyone without an appointment, and I was told by the person who stated she handled my mom's arrangements, she would put a work order in and have it taken care of. I returned On February 2, 2024, and there was no change to my mom's gravesite. I repeated the steps from the week before and was told the same thing by the same person. February 11, 2024, there is no change to my mom's gravesite. I have attached pictures I took today showing the flowers I placed in the opening on January 27, 2024.

My mother ( *************************** ) was buried in Lincoln Cemetery on Sat June, 11th 2022. My complaint is that on Saturdays this cemetery charges $900 extra per burial. We were told an extra $900 was charged on Sat to cover union workers overtime. I understand an extra charge on Sat but I don't see how $900 per burial is required to cover the union worker contractual overtime. I'm a union pilot and I don't make that kind of money for overtime. I can understand if the overtime was being covered by one burial but I saw at least 3 grave sites setup that Sat. That's $2700 for 3 burials. I would like for Lincoln or their parent company **************** to please show me number that verify that $900 per burial on Sat is a reasonable and required amount and not merely price gouging while people are grieving. Contract # ************, Internment # ******.

I am rejecting this response because: The $900 fee is price gouging and I will take the matter up with the state attorney.

            Sincerely,

I have spoken with ******************** on the phone and discussed the $900 Saturday charge.  This charge is reflective on our price list and was discussed at the time of the arrangements for his mother. I believe I have answered all of his questions.

I am rejecting this response because: I feel the company mgmt could do better with employee schedules so that the consumer is not paying for bad mgmt of personnel. they say this causes an employee to workk 6 days. Develop an off day rotation that does not require employees to work 6 days. this is a poor mgmt situation. I know because I am also a union employee. They are blaming it all on the union and they are benefiting TOO.

            Sincerely,

            ***********************
