I requested an in-home lymphatic drainage package with *******************************. She arrived to my house very unprepared. She did not have a massage bed with her. Prior to her arrival, I explained how my massages were given in ***** after my surgery. I talked to her about lymphatic drainage and how fluid would be drained from my back. When I told her about fluid buildup, it seemed like she had no idea and said no you have no fluid, Its just swollen, it is obvious that she doesnt know about and does not have enough experience to be taken care of sensitive postop patients so I was stuck with all of this fluid that was very painful. She was not gentle with the massage and did not have an even touch and would massage one area more than the other and I almost fainted during the massage. she also claimed to bring fresh made pineapple juice and brought me a store-bought pineapple juice filled with sugar. She obviously does not know that juice is a no postop because the sugars are inflammatory. When she left my house, I texted her that I did not feel like I got the right service because I did not get drained. She then said that a nurse friend could come with her for seroma drain when I dont even have seromas and why would she need someone to come with her if she is claiming to know about the service, she is giving? I then decided to cancel services with *******************************. She then tried to charge me $150 for a massage that she did not do well on top of the $50 deposit that I had already left her when her website says $85. She is claiming to be a certified Massage Therapist and she is not. I asked her for her credentials for Massage Therapist and her medical background experience that she claimed to have and she did not provide the documentation. It is obvious that she is taking advantage of young, vulnerable girls, and should not be putting her hands on postop patients. She was also upset about my review and texted me saying I was being defamatory and was ruining her business.

I am replaying back to the complaint that was made on July 11, 2024. *********************** did schedule an appointment on July 6th paid the deposit of $50 and the package that she purchased was $850. I have stated there is a travel fees included. Once I arrived to her house she was exhausted and pain since she had just arrived from ******* on the same day. I came prepared with the products that were brought for her recovery. While i was giving her a treatment we communicated and i have asked her multiple times if she is ok as she was almost ready to faint and told me she is tired. I told her I have a nurse that specializes drainage with a needle and can have her come over but she declined the offer. No one is allowed to cut the incision which will can get infected which i explain to her multiple times. We never communicated on the phone it was all texts back and forth. I was being kind to her through the whole process and wasn't aggressive to her body. Once I left her house she sent me a message saying thank you and it was nice meeting. She decided not to get anymore services from me and told her what the payment would be. Then she got upset when I told her the price since I traveled 30 minutes to then went on ************** spreading false statement. It was brought to my attention by my clients, friends and family which I had no idea what was doing on. The stories she stated kept changing what she did was a defamation of character. Also the address she posted is not the correct business address. She also did not pay the full amount that was owed and reported her card lost or stolen to not pay. Body contouring isn't regulated in the state of ******** since it's non-invasive she never asked if i was a massage therapist nor asked for any of my documents which is a big lie. I told her I have worked in the medical/Healthcare for 16 years and I'm a caregiver. I will not allow this person get away with this and I have made a plolice report on her for theft. I will be sending the attachment of the texts.

I am rejecting this response because:

I do not believe ******* has the proper credentials to be providing post op care services. I provided a message where I asked for her certifications and did not receive any proof of certificates. First off, no one should be providing services if they are not qualified or a trained massage therapist. It is unethical and a danger to someone elses body to provide these services. I do not believe ******************************* has the appropriate credentials to be a post op provider as indicated by multiple sources in the post op care and body contouring field. ******************************* did not come prepared with products described. She did not bring a massage bed, and asked me for puppy pads when she should be providing that. She brought a pineapple juice with a lot of sugar when she indicated she would bring a fresh sugar free pineapple juice. Sugar can be inflammatory so this was a red flag that she did not know about post op care. She also brought a regular grape-seed oil to provide the massage and not a specialized post op care materials. I indicated how I received my massages in ***** and told her I had a lot of fluid and she said I did not and that I was only swollen. That is another red flag because a properly trained therapist would know this difference. She also indicated that she would bring a nurse with her to remove a drain I had and do drainage. It is obvious that she is not trained in post op care if she needs to bring someone else to do the service she is claiming to know how to do. She left that day and I was very unsatisfied with the service because it did not resemble at all an appropriate post op care massage. She tried to charge me $150 on top of the $50 I left as a deposit. I made a ******** post about this experience and was not defamatory and nothing I said was false, it was my own experience that I talked about. I would never want someone to receive post op services from someone untrained so my goal was to spread awareness. ******* was obviously upset about this post and called the police for her remaining $33. The police contacted me about the remaining $33 I owed ******* and indicated I should wait for her to contact me about this payment. People in the post op care industry have stated to me that ******************************* would do anything for a quick dollar. I truly believe this needs to be investigated further and she needs to be held accountable for indicating she is a licensed post op care provider when she is not. I would like proof of her massage therapist license and post op care provider credentials as previously requested. Attached please find texts that support these claims.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

Whether my previous client wants to believe it or not I do infact have the proper credentials to perform lymphatic massages as well as body sculpting services. My certifications are with both the ************************ & Chicago Body Sculpting. I have had hundreds of clients express their gratitude for the services I have provided for them. ******* insisted that I perform illegal services in which I am not licensed in, I informed her multiple times that- that type of service does not fall under my scope of practice I however did inform her that I have a nurse who works with me who could perform seroma and fluids drainage with the proper treatment. I believe ******* was referred to me by someone else who offers the same services as I do in order to spy on me and therefore further harass & tarnish my name within the community. I went to *******'s residence prepared with products arnica gel, tea and juice which she purchased a package that's included. The total for this service was $150 dollars, ******* paid a $50 dollar deposit, when I went to charge her card on file for the remaining balance she blocked the card that she had on file. I completely understand if she didn't want to pursue further services with me, not everyone is going to like my technique however that does not mean she can get a free service & then try to tarnish my name by saying I scammed her when in reality she did not pay for her services. I have already went to the police in regard to obtaining the remaining balance owed nonetheless ******* is not cooperating.

    Complaint: 21974389

I am rejecting this response because:

******************************* does not have the appropriate credentials to be a massage therapist. It is extremely unethical to perform massages and especially post op care when the proper credentialing is not completed. In ********, you must have an ******************* of federal regulation (IDFPR) license to practice after completing a credentialed massage therapy program. Just because you are a body sculptor does not mean you should be providing post op care services; it is two separate field areas.  I would like to see her state of Illinois license to practice massage therapy. There were no illegal services requested. An appropriate lymphatic drainage massage was not  given because ******* is not a licensed post op care provider or even a massage therapist. She did not bring a massage bed or fresh juice as she claimed it was filled with sugar and it was store bought!

I am extremely upset and shocked that ******* would accuse me of being a spy? I see no professionalism or respect here. These are false allegations that are made up. ******************************* should be ashamed of accusing a client of something of that magnitude. That is extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. I did not harass or tarnish her, I simply discussed my experience on social media and on her website because I do not want this experience to happen to anyone else, especially someone in a sensitive post op state. I never knew there was such evil in this world where someone would put the harm of another human being to make money.
The total for this service was $85 as indicated by her website in which she shouldnt even be providing massages or services she is not certified in. As stated in the previous message. A total of $51.75 was paid as a deposit. The remaining balance was $33.25. The ***************************** called me about this matter and they indicated that the total was $85 that she was requesting. I agreed and said I was not comfortable speaking with ******* so they said no problem, I would wait for her to reach out to you so that you can pay that remaining balance of $33.25. ******* never reached out to me. I do not feel comfortable reaching out to her due to her false allegations and mean demeanor. I believe she is upset about the ******** post and me talking about my experience and doesn't know what to say to defend her unprofessionalism.
I did my due diligence  and cooperated and called back the police department so they could indicate to me how she wanted her payment and they indicated again that I should wait for her to reach out to me which ******* never did. I spoke with officer ******* from the ***************************** and she could confirm this statement. As indicated in my screenshots shared, I was never made aware of a travel fee and was told that travel was included. As a business owner, if someone does not decide to proceed with a package I would accept that and not try to throw crazy fees on top that were never disclosed previously. I also cannot believe that ******* attempted to charge my card for the balance without my consent? What kind of business owner does that? This is very unprofessional of ********* would be so embarrassed to throw all of these accusations to a client and try to charge them undisclosed fees especially without the clients consent!!  I am very saddened by this experience.

Please investigate this matter further so that no one runs the risk of going to an un credentialed massage therapist. I would like to see her massage therapist license from IDFPR and post op care credentialing, certification or training.

    Sincerely,
