Absolutely thrilled with my new furnace installation! From start to finish, the team was professional and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the process and answer all my questions, which made me feel confident in my decision. The installation was quick and efficient, and they left everything spotless. Incompetent and Not BBB Accredited! I had a new AC unit installed on 5/7/2024 and did not have a fully functioning unit until 6/2/2024. I had 24 calls, 12 service house calls, and took 8 days off of work to accommodate the technicians. I was lied to and ignored by the technicians, staff, and the manager. The root cause of my malfunctioning AC unit was a leak, caused by the negligence of Green Air staff during the initial installation. They installed parts that did not align with my AC unit, and, in doing so, also melted a valve that caused all the refrigerant to leak out. Not one of the multiple technicians thought to check the valve. When I asked the manager why this was not checked, he told me that he does not have an answer. When I asked if I could get verification that the original unit was installed correctly, pressure tested, and followed procedure, I received a No Comment from the tech. I also had an incident where I was promised on the phone by the staff that a technician could perform the work to fix the issue during poor weather. I was ensured that she spoke directly to the technician and weather would not be an issue. The next day, the technician showed up and told me he could not perform the work due to the weather and told me that no one spoke to him. This incident proved to me that Green Air was lying to me and providing false information. The service manager, ****, was reluctant to provide any help in solving my issues, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. He constantly told me that I should be the one to call back regarding updates that they were supposedly looking into, as if it was my job to find solutions and manage them. He then promised me a restaurant gift card for my troubles.which I have yet to receive. Green Air is not accredited by the BBB. They claim to be, according to a seal printed on a folder provided to me, and in a sticker placed on my AC unit; however, upon researching the BBB website, this accreditation is false.Green Air Care Group, Inc. To Whom it may concern. Our company has been out multiple time to address issues with the installation of this unit. In the process of identifying the real problem, we have replaced customer's condenser and coil and have resolved all issues and can confirm that the system is now working properly. The issue was a defective condenser coil with a leak which was not originally identified. It is our understanding that the customer is now satisfied with our resolution and if not, we would be happy to address any additional issues.Review from Diane S

They would not honor the service agreement for a newer furnace I purchased from a company they took over. They said I had to have had it cleaned yearly by the company they took over. I never signed anything saying that, I sent them the 10 year parts and labor warranty I received from the company they took over that was signed by both of us. No mention of having to have it cleaned by them yearly. They refused to honor it. They said "someone should have told you". Went to ABT and a much better experience! We took over ****************** that did the install of the system - not us. We simply purchased over the Assets. When customer called in with the issue we identified the problem and replaced the control board under the warranty. For labor warranty we did advise customer to sign up for our maintenance program, but customer declined. We do consider this case resolved, but would be happy to assist the customer with any issues.Review from Clare S

On 8/30/23 I contracted Green ******** to do the annual maintenance cleaning on my 3 yr. old furnace and A/C. The tech practically took my furnace apart which never occurred with my prior HVAC contractor. After he cleaned my A/C he told me that I was 2lbs. down on Freon. This was a complete shock as my unit is only 3yrs. old and was cooling very effectively. I told him I would first contact another HVAC contractor to get a 2nd opinion. (Also, he said my ducts needed cleaning when, in fact, they had been cleaned in 2022). The 2nd HVAC contractor checked my A/C and said that it did not need Freon and was in good working order. When I contacted Green I was told that they had photos of the meter indicating the low Freon, however, those photos were never shown to me. It cost me $228 with Green and $234 for the 2nd HVAC to do a diagnostic on my A/C. Then on 9/1 because it was a little cool in my house I decided to turn on my furnace to eliminate the chill, well, surprise, surprise it was not working! When I called Green they told me they could have someone out between 2pm and 5pm, Well at 5:30pm I was still waiting and when I called they called me back and said the Tech would be at 6:00pm, well, at 6:30pm I called again and cancelled and said I would call again on Monday. Surprise, surprise the Tech shows up at 7;00PM and says the other Tech forgot to turn an internal switch to "ON". I spent 5 hours waiting for a 5 minute visit, My experience with Green has been nightmarish to say the least and as a Senior feel totally taken advantage of. (Please, note if my Freon was down by 2lbs. and the 2nd Tech was aware of that why didn't he take advantage of a sale and agree to the low Freon? He was honest !!!! ) After $464.00 this been an ordeal I never want anyone else to encounter !!!!!Green Air Care Group, Inc. Response

We reviewed the details of the Tech visits and do see all reading showing low freon levels which we can email/provide as verification of the readings. Unfortunately not much we can say, except this was a routine AC tune up and we keep the report readings and make repair recommendation based on that. We had never had any issues with this Tech to put his integrity in question, thus not sure what else we can do to accommodate this customer. We do apologize if there was a delay in arrival, but with service jobs, it's never perfect as each house requires different times.Review from Lisa P

I had been using this company's duct cleaning services since 2014. Up until 2021 and most recently today, 1-28-23, I will under no circumstances will I ever use them again or recommend them. I had a pricing issue in 2021 that was resolved before the men started their work. Today is another story. I made an appointment for duct cleaning, sanitizing, and dryer vent cleaning as I had one of their coupons. I confirmed what I wanted done and the price for the work. The men show up and it's a problem with everything out of my mouth. I explained about the sanitizing of 1 of my vents and I was OK with the sanitizing of this vent due to it's position in the ceiling. **** the worker said he had to confirm with his boss. Then told him where dryer vent was and was told there would be an additional $59 charge as it was not included. I confirmed with office the work and no additional cost when I made appt. **** then told me there would be an upcharge of another $30 as it was considered 2nd floor. Never in the past was this said to me. Told them to wait in their truck as I needed to call his office. ***** in the office heard my concerns and said she would call back in 5 minutes. 15 go by and I call and it goes right to voice mail. I then get a text that says men are leaving & I could talk to field Mgr ***. Then *** calls me stati g he's having g guys leave as they don't need to be subjected to my anger. I didn't swear or call anyone names. Also they refuse to service me in the future and will block my phone number. HE HANGS UP ON ME! Hi ****. Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your recent Green ******** experience. Upon reviewing the details and call recording between you and the gentlemen **** who booked your appointment, it was agreed that you were signing up for an annual air duct cleaning at a coupon rate of $79.95. And adding organic sanitation to the duct work for an additional $100. There was no specific inquiry regarding the dryer vent cleaning during the initial call. And **** specified our general disclaimer that upon inspection on our arrival, additional recommendations could be made. Although you previously received a complimentary, ground level dryer vent cleaning with air duct cleaning, we no longer offer that promotion. Your last service with Green ******** was 2 years ago in 2021. Just like any business, promotions vary and pricing increases over time. If you have our current coupon, youll see that the free dryer vent cleaning is not mentioned. The field manager decided to remove the technicians from the situation. We could not accomedate your request to complete the dryer vent cleaning at no additional cost. While you have the right to voice your concerns, our technicians as well as the representative who answered your call regarding the inquiry the day of service felt the aggression. Green air care was amazing ! I used them for my gas machine air duct cleaning and they were friendly, honest, and upfront! Great communication from the office staff all the way to the gentleman ****** that came out! I contacted Green ******** for a noise my furnace was making. A service call was scheduled, **** diagnosed the problem (a bad motor), and promised a written quote for the repair. He verified that the part was covered by Carriers 10-year warranty, and verbally quoted "I'd have to charge you one hour labor". I never received a written quote.A week later a different tech replaced the failing motor. The repair took less than 15 minutes, including verifying the problem no longer existed. The tech then disappeared for a few minutes. When he returned he told me the repair was $546. I said "The part is covered by warranty." The tech replied "That's what my boss told me."The tech called the office, gave his phone to me, and I had a lengthy phone conversation with ** who told me "I have to pay for the part, then I have to wait 8 weeks for a refund. Someone has to pay for that. You have to pay now. If you don't I'll take the part out, put back your bad part, and take the part back." ** told me I had to talk with **** on Monday. It was November I had no realistic choice but to pay for the repair as demanded. The emailed receipt lists the $549 as "LABOR".I called on Monday morning as instructed, a woman took a message and promised a call back from **** or ***** w/in 24 hrs. I never received a callback.I called again on Wednesday and the call went directly to voicemail. I left a detailed message and requested a callback. I never received a callback.The $549 charged by Green ********/** was clearly NOT for LABOR as the repair took the tech less than 1 hour to complete and reassess.** charged me for the full cost of a new replacement motor, fully covered by the Carriers 10 year parts warranty, because ** didn't want to wait to be reimbursed by Carrier.Green ******** promotes a "100% satisfaction guarantee."IF you did not purchase your HVAC equipment from Green ******** AND you need a repair under Carriers warranty my advice is: call a different HVAC contractor.Green Air Care Group, Inc. The amount you were charged includes: dispatching the first service technician who diagnosed the issue, going to the supplier to pick up the part and sending the second service technician who replaced the part. Green ******** is an outstanding company. I have used them multiple times at old house and have used them at my new house now. I have recommended them to my friends and family. They are easy to work with, affordable and fix the problems you have. They also won't sit and ***** you and in fact if they will let you know if they can't find a problem.
