My car was towed by calumet city police and it shouldnt have been told at all my license and insurance was up to date I called ************* company and after my car being in there since Thursday morning until Sunday I am being told I would have to pay 505$ to get my car back and get a police release form to get my. Car back which the records department doesnt open until Tuesday morning so now I would have to pay 635$ by Tuesday morning to get my car I think that this price is a bit too much considering the fact my car was never supposed to be towed in the first place these people came quick to get my car

This complaint is unjust and has been filed against ***'s Service wrongly. The vehicle in question was impounded after we received a call from the ******************************* The impound was initiated as an arrest, and the vehicle owner was charged as per the terms agreed upon with the ****************************** for the services provided. ***'s Service responded to the dispatch call under the contract, and we do not involve ourselves in the details, additional associated fees, or reasons for the arrest. Every towed vehicle is required by the ****************************** to go to the police department to receive a release. This is not a release requirement of Wess Service but by the police department. Wess Services provided towing and storage services and applied the appropriate charges. Wess Service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year and we have no authority over the ****************************** hours of operations. We have proudly worked with the ****************************** for many years and we can say confidently that business operates fair and consistent.

Date of Transaction: 1/30/2023 Amount Paid: $375 I was robbed at gunpoint in ******* on Wednesday 1/25/2023, my car and belongings were taking. My car was found in the *** systems at ********** after the thief left it in a complex parking lot and it was towed. The detective contacted me and told me I had to pay $205 to get it but they close at 5 (around 12pm) which they add on an addition day for another $45 which I paid to get out after notifying the detective I was picking it up. I picked the vehicle up on Friday 1/27/2023 and paid $250 once being told the car been there since the day before. So, after that on 1/29/2023 my car was towed again by ****************************** because the car was still showing stolen in the system, I had to go pay another $20 fee at the police station for them to release it and give me the address of where the vehicle was at(which they member told me it was at an actual tow yard). So furthermore after leaving there and arriving at the tow yard I was informed that I had to pay another additional $375 to get my car out for the 2nd time in 3 days. The tow service Wess Towing not only charged me a towing fee due to the C*** THEY CHARGED ME AN ADMIN FEE, VEHICLE PROCESSING FEE AND ANOTHER 2 Days for storage (the car was towed on 1/29/2023 and I picked up on 1/30/2023). Charges showing: C*** Towing: ******, 2 day Storage Fee ******, Admin Fee: $20.00 & Vehicle Processing fee $50.00. The charges to me seemed pricey and felt like I was being taken advantage already after being robbed at gun point for the car, felt nearly the same way after already paying 250 to get it and another 375 from another tow company seem like shady practices and unfair treatmeant.
