On 1/30/2023, I received a "First ******* Notice" from Lease End Process Auto Showcase. It actually turns out this is NOT a NOTICE at all. It is nothing but an advertisement for their own business. At first glance, I thought the letter originated from the Lease ***** of where I lease my current vehicle ******** The "notice" stated: "If you have any thoughts on keeping this vehicle, NOW IS THE **** TO ACT." (sic) (I should've known something was up as soon as I saw the "all caps" part of the letter.) It went on to state: "....we can significantly reduce the amount you must pay." The "notice"/AD went on to make promises about walking away from remaining payments, no out of pocket expense, extended warranties, etc. They wanted me to call ************. It wasn't until I read the fine print (always read the fine print) at the bottom of the letter that I saw Lease End Process is NOT affiliated with ***** at all. They are an independent company not affiliated with ANY manufacturers. The resolution I seek is for them to stop using such deceptive tactics. If they want to advertise, fine. But when they put in bold print right at the top "Final Notice" from "Lease End Process", it tends to lead one to think the letter is coming from wherever an individual is leasing their vehicle. It needs to be made much clearer that this is advertising from an INDEPENDENT company not affiliated with the person's lease ***** A good start would be to completely eliminate the header that says "FIRST & FINAL NOTICE". It also needs to be made clear in the BODY of the letter (rather than just fine print at the bottom of the letter) that this information is coming from an INDEPENDENT company, NOT from the person's own lease/finance ***** Put THAT in bold print.I uploaded a copy of the letter I received as a supporting document for this report. Thank you for taking the time to read my report.*******,*********************************

I am rejecting this response because: It may be not be technically illegal. But it is still deceptive. (If it is, indeed, legal; then perhaps laws need to be changed.) Anyway, I still feel they tried to trick me. I will be showing this to my sales rep. when I go to turn in my leased vehicle. I think they would be interested to know what this business is up to, if they aren't already aware.

    Sincerely,
