Beware!! I've been using Alert for decades, only to learn that they have no way of detecting system status. That means that if you're connectivity drops between your property and the ****************** for whatever reason, they don't know about it and they can't tell you! Which means that I've been paying for monitoring service that was actually not working. They can't confirm they've been monitoring my property but offered to replace an older part for a fee that would still not automatically detect system status. So the repair would have fixed outdated hardware but did not deal with the actual defect in the alarm system. That makes no sense and prompted me to cancel after 30 years of payments!Review from Elizabeth F

We have used Alert Protective since before the Current owner, ***********We used to have them install systems for new construction. When ***** sold to *****, we stopped using them for installation but continued the monitoring with them. There have been a lot of hiccups along the way but we would rather support a family owned business. Unfortunately it has become much worse. We get random bills that I call about and find out that it was a billing error. We were billed last month for something they say they did in December... I paid it but am not sure it is correct. They will not issue a certificate of insurance with Worker's Comp after there service team was out to fix a problem that has been going on since they upgraded us to Wifi in a building with brick fire walls. They did give us a discount on the work, but it was nearly a thousand dollars to do it now, when we paid to have it done years ago. ***** is a coward and will not call or email me back or send a certificate of insurance. I cancelled one of three accounts that we have had for decades and need to find a new company before I cancel the other. What a nightmare. I usually only post good reviews or really, really bad ones.
