I was involved in a serious car accident to which person who hit me did not have a proper insurance to handle injuries. County care was my insurance that covered my medical. During the case my lawyer received a small amount in which county care place a lien on. An agreement was made on an amount to pay county care. The whole amount was not paid out me do to other ligations but county care was paid. A year later the ligation was finally ended and county care another lien on the same amount under a different company Optum. Ive been unable to work due to injuries and they steal money from a client by doing this knowing its the same amount not a greater amount.

I am filing a complaint against ***** who is asserting a lien and demand for payment on behalf of County Care Health Plan. On or about April 26, 2024 Optum, on behalf of County Care, has asserted a lien against my personal injury proceeds.  My attorneys have contacted ***********************, Optum's representative, and he has failed to provide a response regarding the claimed lien amount.  *****'s failure to act in a timely manner is delaying my settlement proceeds and causing undue financial stress, mental anguish and needless frustration.  If Optum is seeking reimbursement it should be capable of replying in a timely manner, rather than holding up my settlement funds.
