I use SpotHero regularly to find a garage in ***. My experience with the company is shockingly wonderful! SpotHero has been one of the most honest and accommodating companies that I have had encountered in the city. For example, recently I found that the garage I had reserved had a line of cars so long that we could have missed the curtain for our show. We found another garage. SpotHero refunded our payment and paid the difference between the two garages. We were surprised and impressed by the integrity they showed. We are fans.Review from Rob P

Utterly unreliable. I paid in advance (including an oversize fee) for 3 different garages in *************, to support a weekend trip my family was making. Each of the 3 garages were specifically listed by Spothero as supporting oversize vehicles up to certain dimensions. (And again, I paid Spothero in advance and received email confirmation: not just for the spot, but for the oversize fee.) Upon arrival, 2 of the garages told me they could not accommodate me at all. And the 3rd insisted that I pay an extra fee on the spot, basically saying too bad about Spothero; you're paying us too, and if you don't like it, move on. Spotheros telephone support was super; they promised me credit and asked me to find another garage which was impossible. (I ended up finding street parking.) The credit never materialized. I followed up twice during the subsequent weeks. Finally, almost 3 weeks later, I got an infuriating response chiding me for not being aware that some garages charge oversize fees in addition to the booking fee. Well, no duh, that's why I paid it in advance on Spothero (and have receipts from Spothero that says so.) Who needs this aggravation. Horrible experience and terrible customer service.We arrived at 2pm when our reservation ended, upon exiting the ramp we were unable to leave due an issue with the machine not scanning our bar code. We sat there for 25 minutes trying to leave, and contacted an attended multiple times in the mean time and they did not help us. We were being charged by spot hero $1 a minute while we tried to exit, and ended up being charged a total of $25! I called spot hero customer service and the man told me its my fault I should have arrived sooner than my reservation time to prevent this issue, I tried to explain to him the issue was the gate would not allow us to leave because our bar code wasnt working and he refused it refund me when theres nothing I could have done to prevent this. Absolutely unacceptable customer service and ill make sure to inform everyone I know NOT to use spot hero.SpotHero Response

I used to love Spot Hero but Im losing my confidence in them. I booked a parking reservation at a hotel weeks in advanced. I show up at the hotel and Im told that I cant park because they dont have any spots left so they arent honoring 3rd party bookings. They said that they informed Spot Hero about this but Spot Hero didnt send any email or notification about this to us. So Im standing there trying to figure out what to do because I have limited time and need to park and get to the airport. It would be nice if Spot Hero would communicate better when they receive alerts like this so we can know before arriving. Also didnt appreciate that the only refund offered is a credit. What if I didnt want to book them again? Now Im forced to. Refunds should go back to the method of payment to let the consumer decide.SpotHero Response

Do NOT use them!! Our car was towed the day after Christmas, when we had paid for monthly parking. SpotHero ultimately admitted they hadn't paid the lot owner. We still had to pay for **** and $427 towing charge. NEVER use them.SpotHero Response

My first time using spothero to reserve parking for a trip to ************. I arrived at the lot only to be told it was full, and the I needed to cancel my reservation and leave. I found other parking nearby, for less than half of what spothero charged, and got to my event late thanks to spothero. Then I contacted Spothero support. After several attempts to contact them and over a week of waiting, they finally responded asking for my receipt from the other parking lot. I provided it the next day, and never heard from spothero support again. After another 8 days of waiting, I gave up and disputed the charges with my bank. If you want your money stolen, your parking reservation not honored, and the worst customer service imaginable use **********************! I wish bbb let me give them 0 stars.SpotHero Response

When they gave an address fir the garage and it wasn't ar that location the customer service *** told me he would give me a refund if I submitted a receipt for the garage I wound up parking in. They wound up only offering me a $5 credit which is useless since I live in *******.SpotHero Response

Purchased and reserved a parking space last Saturday December 7th at the ************************. Now besides the ease of reserving the space, the event was cancelled shortly before we left the house. I thought that it was going to be much harder to obtain a refund, and was pleasantly surprised when after I press the Obtain a Refund button the refund showed up in my bank. I had a deeply troubling incident that happened to me on 12/7/24 at ************, located at **************************************************, around 11:00 PM. This experience left me feeling humiliated, unsafe, and emotionally distressed, and I believe legal action may be necessary to address what occurred. Here is what happened: I had made a prepaid reservation through SpotHero to park at ************ for an event. When I arrived, the attendant refused to take my car, claiming there were no spots. Despite showing my reservation confirmation, he rudely dismissed me without offering any resolution. Not only was I being discriminated against because of my race, I was also assaulted! When I asked for the attendants name so I could report what was happening, he refused to tell me. When I began recording on my phone to document the situation, he turned and struck my wrist. This was shocking, aggressive, and completely unprovoked. A bystander even stepped in to ensure I was okay. As a result of this incident, I was unable to park and had to find another spot, causing me to arrive at my event over two hours late. The entire experience left me feeling embarrassed, violated, and emotionally drained, especially because this happened in front of several other people. I also had a police report filled. DO NOT PARK HERE. Also, Spot Hero refunded me my money back on my reservation and threw in $10 extra for being assaulted. WOW! Didn't even offer me a formal apology OR hold the garage accountable. I also see other revies online about the same parking garage. Thank you SPOT HERO for not protecting your customers and keeping a partnership with this garage. I've never done a review like this but this company is terrible. Twice I used them to try to avoid the chaos of driving into big cities in a truck to attend events we'd saved up for for months and to relax - and BOTH times the spot wasn't there and no on was there to help (as they claim there is). 2/2 times I paid for a service to take away the stress of finding a spot and 2/2 times they totally failed me and actually made it worse and more stressful than if I'd just rode around looking for a spot. They refunded me the first time and gave me a $5 discount, but the second time I told them to keep their discount code because I wouldn't trust their operation to reserve me a spot in the middle of the dessert. This company needs to be investigated because something is off. I'd leave no stars if possible but the one is just to get the submission in.SpotHero Response
