This company engages in unlawful discriminatory business practices. They have evicted hundreds of families and individuals over the past 10 years and refused to make repairs to units and common spaces when tenants made clear complaints. They engage in retaliatory practices including turning off heat, overheating, and refuse to make repairs to delapidated stairs and floorboards. Their buildings are infested with large cockroaches and they ignore the problem without a corrective plan to bring apartments up to health codes allowing families to live in safe and dignified conditions. Meanwhile they continue to increase rent and fees. This year, M. Fishman retaliated against me, a Palestinian, when I raised the Palestinian flag from my window in homage to my homeland as they gave a genocide. Though i habe been an exemplary tenant, making the building more liveable and safe for my neighbors, they filed an eviction agaimst me, though this act is well within my First Amendment rights and in the company's action violated the Fair Housing Act! When I filed a discrimination lawsuit, against then, they filed a second eviction! There is no level of disgrace this company cares to avoid.

We categorically reject the claims made in this review, which are entirely false and without any evidence to support them. The accusations of unlawful and discriminatory business practices are completely baseless. Furthermore, the reviewers discrimination case was dismissed by the court with prejudice, and while that ruling is currently being appealed, this speaks to the lack of merit in their allegations. The tenant in question is in clear violation of their lease agreement for hanging a flag from their apartment window. We addressed this lease violation directly with the tenant, giving them ample opportunity to rectify the situation. Regrettably, they refused leaving us no choice but to take the necessary steps, as outlined in the lease, to terminate their tenancy. This decision was made in full accordance with the terms of the lease agreement and not as any form of retaliation, as wrongly claimed. The accusations of retaliation, neglect, and unsafe living conditions are simply untrue. We are committed to maintaining safe, healthy, and respectful living environments for all of our tenants. We remain firm in our dedication to upholding fair housing practices and ensuring our properties meet high standards for our residents.

Realtor told me water, sewer and heating were included, yet when I looked at my lease I saw no utilities were covered. I made it known that my realtor was misinformed, but Ive heard realtors in the last few weeks telling new tenants the things I was told. NO UTILITIES ARE COVERED.-Did not allow me to move in until Oct 6 as they needed to clean and paint, though my lease began Oct 1 and I was charged for the days I had to wait. -Pushed me to be out by noon on Sept 30, even though my new apartment wont be ready until the 1st, by THREATENING to charge me $150/hour that I stay past that time. $3750 for 24 hours.-Listed my apartment before the last ****************************************** -Building manager ignored my texts since he BROKE my ** during installation, they charge $50 for this. -Drilled holes into the metal window frames to support the ** units. -Laundry room/machines are infested with COCKRO**HES. -GNATS took over the building all summer and hallways are scattered with dead bugs. -Hot water in shower stops if anyone above or below me turns theirs on.-Bathtub/shower is poorly caulked and missing in places that are necessary to keep water from getting in the walls.-Tiles in bathroom were laid unevenly so they shift and grout between them has broken causing cracks. There likely is water damage or MOLD on the subfloor. Shower grows MOLD if not wiped down/ aired out. -Residents pay for heat in winter, yet it was on rarely and only when it was below 40. This made me use electric heaters to feel comfortable that cost me more. -Window ***** have cracks around them and are drafty.-Entire first floor hallway smells of urine/mildew.
