04/2024, I had a routine cleaning and exam. I was told that I had a tiny little cavity on my lower right molar, which she had noticed in October, she decided to repair with a filling. On 05/2024, I made an appointment to look at the filling, because it was too high, and was told the pain should go away in a several weeks. In between the May and July appointments, I called the office, and was told that I could have pain for up to 6 weeks, which was normal. On July 29, 2024, made an appointment because I still had pain and sensitivity. The first thing that occurred, was that she pulled out the old X-Rays. She then said I needed a root canal, which was very confusing, since I was told it was a minor cavity. There was never an indication of a root canal during my April 29th appointment. Then I was told during this appointment, that in the next several weeks they would not be accepting ******** patients because they are not getting paid their full payment, only half. I asked her when she was going to inform her patients that they were canceling ******** and was told a letter would be going out in the next several weeks. As of today, August 30, 2024, I have not received a letter. She said they could put a cap on the tooth. I agreed to schedule in the next few of days so that ******** would cover the tooth before they cancelled their contract but was told that I would have to pay out of pocket, because they were not going to submit to ******** because they were not going to get paid in full by ********.I had to decline, She then offered me a prescription for a toothpaste, **** notified me that they needed prior authorization, so I contacted the dentist and was told that they do not do prior authorizations; and they refused, even after several calls from me and the pharmacist. I then spoke to the owner of the dental office and told them I had no other options but to contact the ****** They finally agreed. Is clear that this Dentist committed ********/insurance fraud.
