Total Roofing &Construction, is family owned and I can tell in the ways that I was treated. *************************, has been very professional, knowledgeable, actually like a good friend, he helped me to understand the project I needed worked on, didn't take advantage of the situation to just make money, but helped me get what I needed at the time in this situation repairs on chimney, not trying to get a roof replacement job at this timeReview from Cody O

Total Roofing is out to make top dollar on the roofing jobs they accept. After they realized I wanted just an overlay & not a tear off they would not write a new proposal & indicated no because theres an existing leak. True but that section of the roof only has one layer, its not like my roof has more than one layer of shingles. Its hard to believe a leak means, a tear off is mandatory! Well anyway I appreciate BBB doing what they can, especially since Im a senior!

We are not seeking top dollar from this homeowner. We are seeking to do the correct and ethical thing per our services. If we cannot assure our homeowners of a proper installation, manufacturer warranty, and TRC warranty we advise a tear-off, especially when an active leak is occurring. If a home has an active leak this means the plywood is bad and needs to be replaced. Installing a second layer does not solve this issue and only increases the cost in the future. This is why our representative was instructed to inform them that a tear-off is the only thing our company would provide. There may be a company or "handyman" that will do what is requested, but as a licensed, bonded, and insured contractor we want to insure the roof will last 10+ years and is done right.We apologize that the homeowner is not getting exactly what she wants, but as per the manufacturer and condition it's not professionally recomended.Review from JEFF Q

Twice they have not shown up to scheduled appointments. Days after 2nd missed appointment i sent an email to inform company of the situation. It is now several days after the email and I have yet to hear any response still.Total Roofing & Construction Services, Inc. Response

****, our records showed that ******* did have to reschedule due to an appointment being made on our website and we were in the early stages of online booking tool. We apologize for the confusion, but he did make it out on the second time to provide the estimate/advice. Our notes state you were unsure if you were getting a new roofing system, repairing, or filing a claim at the time or contacting a ***** to proceed with the work. No work was completed or signed and we have not actually completed any services.******* sent over the estimate for a complete tear-off and advice if you were pursuing an insurance claim, in which was the last notes. If there is anything you need please do not hesitate and contact our office anytime.
