I received urgent care services following a medical ailment 11/14/23. I requested a routine test thats customarily provided, but medical personnel suggested a different test they believed more reliable. The test was comparable but did not convey any additional information already available to **** disputed this with the ********* financial personnel, but they were not forthcoming. I wrote the President of Northshore, ***********************************; Senators ***************************, and ***********************, and also included the Mgr. of Northshores ************* Finance Personnel agreed to return the lab test to Billing and Coding (for review) with an interim agreement for me to pay $50.00/mo. They reneged, however, and I reverted to paying $10.00/ twice, presently $20.00 until the matter could be resolved. I received 10/23 a letter to request I call them to provide additional information; yet, on 11/4/23, Northshore sent a threatening letter with an intent towards collections.Northshore Healthsystems has engaged in deceptive practices. Once the Billing and Coding for the lab is brought under review for correction, this debt should move forward towards being paid.Northshore Healthsystems has a responsibility not just to patient care, but accurate billing practices.(If my email address is provided, please do not share it with Northshore Healthsystems).

I have been trying to contact the provider for over a week. The line keeps saying they are busy and to hold. No one comes to the phone and it finally hangs up. I need to resubmit my payment arrangements. I am elderly and have a limited income. I am afraid to go into the hospital for fear of contracting something. All I want is to be treated with respect and for someone to call me back. Instead they sent part of my account to a collector who keeps telling me to call the hospital which I continue to do with no response. I need my payment arrangement to capture my new bill.

My PCP and Endocrinologist referred me to Neurology for a serious problem I am having. That appointment was booked 6 months ago, to today (8/11/23 @ 11am) w/******************. I was calm and understanding that specialists do book up well-in advance. Today, the day of the appointment, at 10:30am 8/11, just 30 minutes before my appointment that I've had to wait 6 months for, I received a call from scheduling to cancel the appointment. The representative on the phone stated that ****************** left the practice August 1st. Then she tells me, I can't get in for a new appointment until December 15th! When I asked for a supervisor she stated that her manager was on vacation for a week, and there's no one else to speak with and nothing that can be done. This is extremely unacceptable. I cannot wait another 4 months to be seen by neurology, when I've already waited so long. This is terrible customer service, and I plan to file additional complaints.
