My husband and I purchased flooring from a company called Select Interiors (*** ** ****** *** ************ ** ***** phone # ###-###-####) on June 23, 2023 and they sent this man ***** **** to us to install the flooring we bought. He started to install the flooring on June 28, 2023, he came back at least 3 times to finish the first installation. Then we asked him, how much more would it be if he could add the kitchen to it-so he gave us the total and we agreed to pay that amount when done, that was on July 6, 2023. SO after all the installation was complete, he gave us paperwork that stated, "1 year warranty on labor". We had to call/text him back 3 more times to fix the issues with the installation he done, because it is coming up in certain location where he did not completely remove the underlined flooring that was there before this flooring. The areas were "Kitchen-Hallway-doorway of bedrooms which is by hallway". The floor is chipping, pulling up in places where you can cut your feet (which I have done), its bobbling in areas where it starting to chip and crack etc.. When he came back one time to fix some of it he had to remove some kitchen flooring because he broke them or they cracked and then he replaced them with an old design which is different then the ones I have now. (they kind of match but not the right style). He came back to try fixing the kitchen and hallway again; this time he removed some of the old flooring that was underneath the new flooring (it was laminate-he should have done that in the first place-and he didn't remove all of it-only some and because of that we are still having problems). When he left this time he never completely laid the flooring down by the bedroom doors in hallway, so that is sticking up still and it wont go down. ***** told us he will come back and finish the job, since Oct 2022 still haven't heard from him. We called Select Interiors-told them of the issue-they wont help us either. We paid and now No Respect

They were moving stuff as I was working, they took some cabinets out and wanted that floor put in there.  They did not wanted  me to put floor in they, and they wanted  me to finish the floor. They wanted me to cut some of the pieces of the floor  and put in there. I  Took the floor apart and put back the right way.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

When ***** first came over to install the flooring, he was suppose to do the hall way, the 3 bedroom areas and the master bathroom , then we asked him if he could install the rest of the kitchen area with the flooring if we paid extra for that, and he said Yes.   When ***** started this job-my husband and I only had a few pieces of furniture in the living room--WHICH had carpeting in there-not flooring material-nor was it getting any.

We just moved into this house and had nothing here-not even a bed to sleep in. When ***** came back the 2nd time my husband took out some cabinets in the kitchen area-but that was not in ****** way at all because ***** was finishing the bedrooms and bathroom area. (that's when he didn't remove the underneath flooring that started the problems--he should have known this since he claims he is a professional installer and he should have removed All of that laminate the 1st time)by not ripping out the old flooring underneath the dining area and didn't cut the edges right on some of the flooring and that made it buckle up in certain areas which we asked him to come back and fix. Which he came back once to fix  the flooring with the wrong color flooring  that did not match the flooring that was down.

We told him - due to his mistake on the first time he placed flooring down he needs to fix the cracked-chipped and loose ones, some were even coming up.

***** told us to check to see if the flooring was covered by a warranty, which we did call the company and they denied us because they said it was due to the installation. All we ask of ***** was to take pride in his work and finish this job that he started --which we paid in full.

We want him to either fix this issue right or pay us 50% back of what we paid him so we can get a professional that would do the job right.

    Sincerely,
    ******* *****
