    Purchased a kitchen appliance for $826. When customer service emailed that it was on backorder, I cancelled the order in writing, and was told the order was cancelled. That was Dec 18. It's now Jan. 18 and ABT has still not returned my money, despite the fact that I called a week ago and was told 'Oops, the order was not voided correctly. I'll put through the refund right away.' This now feels like a scam and no accident -- I won't be surprised if ABT is routinely in the 'business' of not issuing refunds in the hopes that customers won't notice.

    I am sorry for the inconvenience regarding the voided order.  The order was voided as requested and refund made on 1/21.  It looks like there was a duplicate order in december that was voided, casuing the *** to believe the order had already been voided.

    Purchased an electric stove w cooktop and warranty march 2024 Out of nowhere at no fault of our own there's now a giant chunk taken out of the cooktop and we can not use it. **************** indicated it would most likely be cosmetic and the part be replaced even though we have warranty.

    From the picture provided, it is pretty clear that something was dropped on the cooktop cracking it.  Physical damage is not covered by warranty.  I would be happy to order the cooktop and supply it at our cost, and isntall it at no charge.

    I purchased this product in good faith. It wasnt working properly at the time of delivery. I didnt know from the time of delivery the unit was making noise at different times. This was my first time purchasing a front loader washer. I didnt know it was bad. I called and explained the situation. I was told I could only get it repaired. The washer was sold in bad faith. It was a lemon from day one. Now no one wants to take it back nor exchange it.

    I am sorry that the consumer was so upset with us.  The reality of the situation is that neither the *** warranty or our extended warranty covers cosmetic damage or physical damage to the product (i.e. dents, scratches, cracks to plastic, etc).  The warrantees fully cover functional parts and the labor to replace them.  This fridge was delivered in July of 2023 with no damage to the bin in question.  In spite of all of this, our store manager spoke to the consumer and agreed to replace it at no charge,  Service call is scheduled for Monday 12/9.

    *** has a price match guarantee. I found a microwave model # PWL1126SWSS from ** on **********. Knowing Abt has a better return policy (30 days vs 2 days only for damaged merchandise) I wanted to purchase through ***. *** seeing the vast price difference, They offered 1300 and began making up claims like it was a fake listing. Then it was a mistake on *********** website so they won't honor a price match. I can confirm after purchasing it through ********** that it was not a fake listing and *** broke the law not honoring a price match.

    When the model number in question is entered on **********'s website it does not return a result.  We believe this was a pricing error on ************ website that they have since corrected.  The price he is requesting is less than half of dealer cost.  It is simply not a legimate price.

    In October 2023, we submitted our Apple MacBook Pro for the repair at *** Apple Repair. The issues included ******** and Burning Smell. The logic board was replaced, and we were told it was fixed, we paid deductible $299. However, we noticed reduced performance and ongoing issues until it eventually stopped working again. Unfortunately, after each repair, it returned with the same or new issues: port and power problems, poor battery performance, overheating, shutting down during use, long charging times, and sudden screen dimming. The logic board was reportedly replaced four times ( I highly doubt it) and we were assured that the laptop underwent thorough diagnostics, yet the problems kept coming back. Our charger and hard drive were checked twice, and no issues were found with them. We kept telling them that something hadn't been replaced, which was probably causing the recurring problem, but all we got were mocking smiles and some eye-rolling from certain employees. After all, what could we possibly know in the presence of such experts, right? Their arrogance and disregard for the issue led to further damage, so they accused my husband and me, claiming that since our AppleCare was nearing its end, we were causing the problem (how convenient), using the same devices they had thoroughly checked. One of their employees arrogantly stated "You're not getting a new laptop anyway." So they considered this as "abuse" at that point and we were charged again and paid deductible $299. After 5 repairs and numerous visits to the ******************* at ABT Electronics, a miracle happened, I guess they finally replaced the part that was damaging the laptop, and it was actually fixed. After a year of efforts, it finally works as it did the day we bought it.Chapeau bas to the so-called Apple and Connect Techs technicians. Absolutely outstanding result. Now I fully understand the frustration of other customers I saw there. Never again this place, these people, or this company!!!

    I am sorry that it took multiple attempts to fix the laptop.  On two of the repairs, it was actually sent to ***** to fix by their technicians.  It is never our intent to deliver a product that is not completely repaired.

    On 9/22/2024, I purchased an ice maker through ***. Item was delivered and installed on 10/22/2024. Due to the ice maker being incorrectly installed, the ceiling tile in my basement (below the ice maker) sustained water damage. In addition, we cannot use the ice maker because it leaks! I attempted to contact *** for assistance but I was told that because the problem was with the installation, I needed to contact the installation company which was *********. When I called whirlpool, they told me that they just deliver appliances and installation is not covered and therefore I need to take this up with ABT. I did NOT hire this third party company. This third party was hired through *** to deliver, install and haul away appliance. Someone needs to take responsibility not only for the shoddy installation, but the damage to my home. Im extremely disappointed that neither company is willing to take responsibility for this! In the meantime I still dont have an ice maker that WORKS without leaking plus damage to my home.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is TENTATIVELY satisfactory to me. 

    I accept it only under the condition that if I receive ANY further communication from this company, I reserve the right to re-open this complaint or file a new one.

    I would also like it noted that the offer was made to contact the individual directly if any further issues should arise, however NO NAME or CONTACT INFORMATION was provided. In my view, the omission speaks volumes about their integrity.

    Abt electronics sell defective in wall air conditioners made by *********. I first purchased a in wall unit in summer of 2022 and needed to have it replaced by Abt Within two months because the air compressor would not stay on when needed. The replacement unit has since done the exact same thing after a few months of use, and since the unit is no longer in warranty, they refused to honor to repair it or replace it. From online reports, this is a known issue for this type of air conditioner, and Abt Should stop selling them and replace all units that are defective.

    got a replacement on 10/11/22 due to unit not working 

    I began reaching out on 6/18/2024 because unit once again was failing. Was told it was out of service but to send them the serial number of unit. Sent it 7/11/2024 but no response.

    I am sorry that the customer is having problems with their air conditioner.  We would obviously never knowingly sell a defective product.  As the customer states, we replaced the unit in november of 2022.  The unit is in fact out of warranty at this point.  We would certainly not refuse to service the unit, but because of the warranty status there would be charges for the repair.

    As stated previously, I should not have to pay for service or parts for an item that is clearly defective. These ACs should not be sold by your store if clearly they cannot do their primary duty. Air conditioners should not stop working after 1 summer, especially for the price you sell them for.

    I understand the frustration.  We sell hundreds of these a season with very few issues reported.  I have done what I can to help here.  I will honor my offer should they change their mind. I have offered a fair solution but the customer refused.

    We purchased a refrigerator from ABT in Feb. 2021. That unit's ice maker broke 3 times. *** suggested they would give us full credit towards a new refrigerator instead of repairing ours. We agreed. In June 2024 we purchased a new refrigerator (a floor model). From the day of delivery which was June 29, 2024, the water dispenser has not worked properly. I called on June 30, 2024 to request service. On July 5, 2024 a technician came out and determined the fridge needed a new circuit board and a new filter. On July 19, 2024 the repair tech came out and replaced the parts. Now the fridge is worse. The ice and water are not working at all. I called again on July 20th to be told our sale man would call us back since he's the only one that can authorize a new unit, since we purchased the floor model and there is a price difference. He never called back. On July 21, 2024 I called again. I was told we would need to pay the difference between the floor model price and the full price. I refused, as I should not have to pay additional funds, when *** promotes these floor models as something a prior customer returned because of issues like it didn't fit in the space or they didn't like the functionality of it. Never that it was defective. This is deceptive business practices. *** refused to exchange the unit without us putting more money into it. We now have yet another service tech appt. on July 25, 2024 to relook at the issues. Then they will order parts and have yet another service tech repair the unit. All this time that has passed put us beyond the 30 return policy, which is not fair at all. This unit was defective since day one. We are requesting yet again for an exchange in our fridge and at no cost to us. If we would've known that this unit was defective on your floor, we would have shopped other companies for a fridge. We trusted ABT would stand behind their product. Now we have a fridge that doesn't work and yet another appt.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.A gentleman called from ABT this morning.  He stated that on Thursday they will bring a new refrigerator and replace it with the defective one.  Thank you so much for your help in this matter.  The BBB got me to the right person and now the issue will be resolved.  Thank you to ABT for stepping up and doing the right thing for their customer.  After this whole ordeal, I do still believe ABT is a great company and I will do business with them again.  They stood behind their customer service in the end and that's all that matters.
