My grandmother is 86 years old and has been receiving spousal benefits since 2015, following the death of her husband, who was a reverend in the United Methodist Church. Recently, a major error with her bank account resulted in the suspension of her pension, and she was completely unaware of this issue.During her recent visit, she informed me about the situation, and I stepped in to help resolve it. We opened a new bank account for her and contacted the pension office to update her information so they could resume her deposits. Each time we call, we spend nearly two hours on the phone, dealing with absurd questions that are unreasonable for her to comprehend. When she struggles to answer, they claim they cannot verify her identity and promise that someone will reach out within 24 to 48 hours, but this never happens. This has dragged on for nearly two weeks without a callback. My grandmother is understandably distressed and anxious, as she relies on this money, which she hasnt received since March. It is imperative that we resolve this issue immediately. I need assistance to ensure she receives the support she is entitled to, as their lack of communication and follow-through is completely unacceptable.

Thank you for the opportunity to address this concern. We realize the tremendous importance of caring for others, especially their financial well-being, which is in part why this situation has taken time to resolve.  With the individuals grandmother living in *****, processes like electronic fund transfers (ETF) and mailing checks is complex, as well as responding to calls from others without Powers of Attorney in an effort to protect funds from fraud situations.  We are reissuing payments today via ETF and contacting the customer with this information.

Please let me know if there is any additional information we can provide to you.

    Kind regards,

Wespath is a private company that services retirement accounts for United Methodist Church pastors and employees. I have tried to complain to the company and have also tried to figure out what government agency I could complain to. I have not been able to find one. I have separated my self from the *** and am trying to get a rollover of my retirement accounts to another company. All the paperwork is in and I was told it was all correct. They also told me it should be **** days. It has been longer than that and when I call to seek information I get the run around. I want them to send my money to the other organization.
