Hands down the best car buying experience and I’ve purchased over 10 cars so that’s saying a lot. Linda was quick efficient honest polite and extra assuring. I was so worried because I knew I would be upside with a trade in but to my surprise everything was a smooth transition and I drove off the lot in a newer prettier car satisfied. I purchased a 2020 ****** Maxima from S&M Motor Sports in *************, ** on January 22, ****. I drove 3.5 hours to get there to pick up the vehicle. Before deciding to make the drive, my husband and I both spoke with ***** (the sales person) on the phone to make sure the car was in great condition as it was listed online. We were told it had never been in any accidents. During purchasing the vehicle, I asked *** (Finance guy) for the Carfax report. He printed off an Experian auto check report that showed no accidents reported. A couple days later after having it home and driving it, we noticed my passenger headlight was getting moisture inside of it so it must have had a crack. The ** compressor is also making a sound, and my exhaust has WHITE SMOKE coming out of it. This is all within days of bringing the vehicle home! We gave ***** a call and spoke with his brother at S&M Motor Sports. I told him my concerns of most importantly the drive train of this vehicle and we were told there was nothing they can do and that it was not a big deal and that they price their cars competively. We met with ************ who advised me to pull the carfax report up. This carfax report is showing there was indeed an accident which had MODERATE damage and that the air bag was deployed in 2023. This is VERY concerning since I have young children and I asked *** multiple times if there were any accidents. My mechanic has since found that we have a BLOWN HEAD GASKET! We are not even at the 2 week **** of having this vehicle. The ** Compressor also needs replaced as well as a brand new headlight, and those alone are close to $1000 for this type of car. My mechanic states this definitely has been in an accident and I am certain that *** has tried to cover this damage up and lied to me. This car is still under the lemon law due to it being under 14 days and the problems started happening the 1st week of having it. I may need to take legal action if the dealership wont work with me.
