On May 1st I contracted this company to come and replace my driveway. The estimator **** came out and I explained to him what I wanted to have done. The thickness of the material I wanted and we came to an agreement. The agreement was to widen my driveway by 18 inches to the edge of my home, as well as saw cut a piece of my front porch walkway and to run the Asphalt straight all the way down to the apron, and at the end of the apron I wanted the driveway to flare out so that we didn't continue creating a mud pit pulling in/out of the driveway. This morning I received a call from **** asking about final payment for the work, but did not ask how the I felt about their work.Well after speaking to **** and explaining to him my dissatisfaction with their work, and told him I will be holding final payment until the work was completed to my satisfaction. He immediately was capable of getting to my house this afternoon look at their work and say it looks great to him.My favorite part of this is when one of the workers after telling all of them if they want something to drink to help themselves to water/gatorade I had in a cooler for them and if they need to use the bathroom knock on the door and come in and I will show them where it was. Not 5 minutes later, the man that was leading the crew walked to the side of my house. looked at my ring camera, smiled and started ******* on the side of my house while smiling at the camera. I did not see this first, my wife did.As I showed **** this video, his immediate reaction was " I don't know what the guys do, but I can talk to their bosses only thing I can give you a discount on the sealcoating"

Photos will speak more than an thousand words...Summary - Driveway asphalt was done without proper gravel bedding. Asphalt quality was bad, resulting in sinking surface. His idea of resolving the issue was to slop seal coating all over the driveway, leaving driveway looking like a homemade job. Damage garage siding in the process.

Champion was hired to do asphalt and concrete work. Deposit was not given back when order was cancelled.$520.00 10%. I was told contractor doesn't use permits for concrete work handicapped ramp. So I cancelled concrete portion of job. I told Champion concrete ramp needs to be done before asphalt. This would delay their work. My better judgement told me to cancel asphalt work. Permits are also needed. No permits is illegal.

On May 26th, I had an estimate done for an asphalt driveway overlay where I paid a 10% deposit of $310 and the job was scheduled for July 8th. I was verbally told the deposit would be refunded if I changed my mind and if I didn't like the job they did, I wouldn't have to pay anything. I was given a handwritten summary of the estimate (attached) and was emailed a receipt that same evening (email and receipt attached). None of the documents (handwritten summary, email or receipt) indicated a two week notice requirement for the deposit to be refunded. On July 4th, I emailed to cancel the service and on July 5th I followed up via ******** Messenger to confirm the refund of my $310 deposit. The Messenger exchange is attached but I was told I wouldn't receive my deposit back because I didn't give two weeks notice and they already booked my timeslot so I couldn't keep my original appointment. They offered a new date which I considered but decided this is not a company I wish to do business with given their poor communication and customer service. I am now seeking ******************** help to return my $310 deposit as the two week notice period was never disclosed at the time the deposit was made and they clearly rebooked my timeslot so they didn't lose any money due to my cancellation. I am not even clear on this company's name because the receipt shows ******************************************************* but the website, ******** and email show Champions Construction & Asphalt Inc. but both companies list the same address.
