A check for $211.01 was issued by AON and was lost. AON knows this check has not been cashed but say they need a form from me to cancel the check and reissue. I sent the form back to them in October of 2023 and waited a long time for an answer (It took months to get the majority of the claim in 2022) I called to check on it in April of 2024, and they said they had not received the form. I emailed the form to them, and on April 29,2024, I sent the form via Certified Mail. The post office reported that the letter was given to an employee of AON Escheat. It has now been more than 6 weeks and I have heard nothing. I called AON and they will not answer any question about this - refer me to the AON ************* I have tried to contact AON Escheat and just keep getting put back in the hold cycle. The form they sent to me does not have a phone contact number. I am hoping you can get me this money. I had to contact you to get the bulk of the claim back in 2022. Thank youInitial Complaint

I booked a cruise on Norwegian Sky departing 9/12/23 from *****. I cancelled my cruise on September 10, 2023, when I was diagnosed with vertigo. I have fought this twice to no avail. Due to current events my Doctor suggested I cancel as it would not be a good idea for my to get into such a stressful situation. I submitted Aon required attending Physician statement showing I was being treated. Aon insisted this was a "pre-existing condition" which my doctor denied. I fought this twice to no avail.Initial Complaint

I booked a cruise on the Norwegian **** departing 11/24/23 from ******** and touring the ***********. I am treated for Chronic Anxiety , Due to current events my Doctor suggested I cancel as it would not be a good idea for my to get into such a stressful situation. I submitted a letter from my Physician clearly stating I could not go on the cruise. With that document I also submitted Aon required attending Physician statement showing I was being treated for chronic anxiety. they are denying my claim stating mental disorders are not covered unless hospitalized,I feel that is a blatant disregard for people with mental health issues. My doctor clearly stated he did not want to go on the cruise hospitalization was his call not a cruise ship company. I have already lost the money i spent on the visas to the various countries. All I requested was a 100% cruise credit instead of 75%. So that I can rebook another cruise with less anxiety I am retired on a fixed income so this is a big deal for me.My claim number is 23NCL28823 reference number ********* .Initial Complaint

On March 13, 2023, my spouse and I booked an ****** Cruise on Celebrity. We purchased the recommended travel insurance provided by Celebrity through AON.This was a bucket list trip, as ****, my spouse, has a rare, incurable blood cancer. On September 1, 2023, we arrived at the port to board the ship, only to discover that her passport had been stolen. With only one international stop, we asked if we could simply remain on board and were told we still could not travel. We filed a claim. AON informed us that the maximum refund we would receive for the Celebrity booking was $2,000. This is vs. a 100% refund if one of us had become ill, of if our home had been rendered inhabitable, etc. We had to file under "trip delayed." This makes no sense. Our trip was "over", just as surely as if one of us had gotten sick. Since this was our fourth trip on Celebrity, we called them to ask if they could help in any way. The representative told me that we were lucky to have received anything. We received $2000 for the Celebrity booking and $885 for travel expenses. I am requesting BBB's help to receive reimbursement for the remaining $3,3381.90. We want to travel in **** while she is still able. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I purchased a tour from Trafalgar for their European Whirl from September 11, 2023 thru Sept 24, 2023 Travalgar sugested I purchase a **************** Policy from AON whom they recommended. I purchased the policy in good faith being recommended by the tour company. On September ************************************* ****** SW1P 3JT,**, my purse was stolden from my ****** in the mist of a large crowd. I turned to see where my group was, and when I looked at my ****** my purse had been snatched. That quick!. I immediately went to the tour director and told her, I was just so upset. She asked me if what was in the ***** and I had to think a few minutes as I was so agitated crying and dazed with loosing my purse. The first thing I thought of was my phone (which has my whole life) however for some reason I had it inside a neck purse stuck inside my shirt. Inside the stolden purse I did have a underwater Nickon camera and some pounds some ****** and cash, a few pieces of custome jewlery and some prescription meds and a few other items for a total of about $550. You can see the list on my police report atatched. When I returned home I reported the claim to AON travel insurance and they are wanting me to contact my ********************* for the claim. Letter attached. I see no reason to report the claim to my Home Owners because where I live anything will increase my policy payment even a small claim. Besides I purchase **************** to protect me and my home owners has nothing to do with it. becasue of what was inside the ***** I have no receipts. I know the camera was about $250 when purchase . I am glad this was not a big claim or a medical claim or I may still be in Europe. I am asking if you can possibly help me resolve this claim, as I feel I am in the right.Initial Complaint

I booked a cruise on Celebrity in April for my family My son could not make it and I called the travel agent immediately and she said not to worry since I had cancellation insurance. I have been trying since May to have this refund resolved and I have called at a minimum 25 times, spoken to ************************************************************************************************************************** 3 or 4 weeks. Usually they say they will take care of it in 2 days and nothing happens. Occasionally they blame Celebrity cruises however, they have been trying to help but say it is up to AON. Im at my **** end.Initial Complaint

I purchased travel insurance via Aon for a Virgin Voyages cruise. Due to hospitalization for mental illness and a positive COVID test 1 day before the cruise departure, I could not attend this cruise. I called Aon and they told me that in order to file a claim to get a refund, I needed to remove myself from the booking. I did so because they told me to. Then when I filed the claim, they told me they could not give me a refund because I removed myself from the booking, even though that's exactly what they told me I needed to do to file a claim. I simply would like my money back for the cruise because I did not sail due to medical reasons and I should have been covered under the travel insurance policy.Initial Complaint

On September 20, 2021 I purchased a trip with Tauck to go to **************** with my wife in September 2023. Beginning in June of 2023 I began to have vision issues. This was blurred vision, dried eye, redness. I visited my Optometrist and was diagnosed with dry eye. As I progressed thru treatments my vision was still blurred. I worried that a trip to Yellowstone with biking, white water rafting, and hiking was not going to be much fun with my condition. I cancelled the trip with ***** and submitted a claim with AON. Documentation for my claim as well as medical records are attached. AON rejected my claim indicating that I was not disabled for travel. I am not disabled but was vision impaired. The AON agent indicated that having my doctor check the box for disability would get my claim paid. The agent also indicated that this claim would not be shared with the **** A claim with a box checked for vision issues and AON wont share that with the **** I pursued the claim with AON with no satisfaction. I continued to go to the doctor(s) as my I was still having vision issues. With steroids my vision is improving. I have cloudiness in my eyes and am now scheduled for cataract surgery on September 20, 2023. What fun would a trip be to Yellowstone with blurred vision and not able to enjoy biking, rafting, and hiking. I am asking that my travel claim be paid and my travel costs reimbursed.
