    Hello,

This was more of an ice dam issue, not just roof issue.
When the customer contacted us, I was out of the country until Jan. 30th.
However, she communicated with our office workers and we sent our crew on 17th.
She already called another company for mitigation which is not what we would suggest and she paid for the mitigation work.
When I came back to *******, I met her in person on Feb. 2nd and I paid her for the expenses that she paid to another company.
Also, the customer and we talked about how we will do inspection and repair when the weather is warm enough.
All the issues have been resolved and she is okay now.
    Thank you.

Let me know with any questions.

The BBB received a response from XYC, *** which I do not accept. The services that I paid another company for were not mitigation. Expenses were for tarping of the roof and to dry interior dry wall where the leak had occurred. XYC *** was out of the country I had to stop this leak immediately in order to prevent further damage to my home. My mattress was ruined and I cannot sleep in my bedroom until this leak has been fixed. The tarp is still on the roof because XYC, *** has not yet fixed the holes in the roof. This roof is only three months old and this ice dam/leak was caused by XYC, ***s failure to install ice prevention on the roof before they put the shingles on it. This roof was installed without proper material. I am still waiting for XYC, *** to repair the damage they have caused because temperature must be above 50 degrees before the repair can be completed. XYC *** is scheduled to come out to my home on 02/21/2024 to fix the roof damage. XYC *** will be held responsible for all further repairs to the interior of my home as a result of this leak.

    Thank you,

    ***********************-Outland

Yes, we will be at her house tomorrow Feb. 21st **** at 9 am.

And due to temperature, it will be fixed when weather is good.

That was an agreement between XYC *** and the client.

Tarp, and dried out the inside leakage is what the mitigation is.

    Complaint: 21149038

I paid for a brand new roof. This roof is three and a half months old and leaking. The roof has been tarped and XYC came out today and patched where they think it was leaking. ***************** said hello to me and nothing else and left. Workers had two packages of shingles that they put on the roof. They did not check to make sure the roof wasn't leaking but the worker told me that tomorrow (Thursday February 22, ****) it is supposed to rain all day just call him if it starts leaking from ceiling in bedroom or entryway again.

Please note this is still a problem. I paid for a brand new roof. I still have damage inside my home and am not sure if the repair to the roof is sufficient to fix this problem or not. But this roof is supposed to be a brand new roof. They only patched a small spot. This repair will not last. I want the whole roof replaced by a professional roofing company at XYC's expense. I also want all damages inside my home to be repaired by a company that I choose at XYC's expense because after this experience I do not trust XYC to do any further work to my home. My home is damaged as a result of XYC's actions and our home was not damaged prior to XYC performing their work.
