After submitting a proposal for the customer to electronically sign via DocuSign, he requests a "deposit" of $5,000 or more through his **************************. However, once the payment is collected, ***** often fails to initiate or complete the entire project, leaving the job unfinished. ***** engages subcontractors who lack proper licensing or bonding, and he often manipulates the permitting process. This involves either submitting permits under Chi-Line Construction while hiring another company to do the job at a lower cost or allegedly filing another contractor's business license without proper authorization. The act of illegally obtaining a permit under someone else's business license raises significant concerns about potential misrepresentation or falsification of legal documentation in a professional context, marking a serious violation of legal and ethical standards within the construction industry. Furthermore, ***** is currently in debt to several subcontractors for recent jobs. He is presently involved in a legal dispute with a subcontractor who is *********** more than $15,000. The services were finalized in January 2023, but ***** has not made any attempt to settle the payment, and he is unresponsive to phone calls or text messages. In general, this company operates as a comprehensive scam, primarily focused on collecting funds while delivering only the most minimal services. Despite the owner's denial of any wrongdoing, it's challenging to dismiss the legitimacy of over 50 customer complaints seeking justice.

Very disappointing experience from someone we wanted to help. Had no respect for our time at all. Would send random people to do "something ", but typically no communication or plan. A lot of wasted time and workers who were not skilled for the jobs they were sent for. Many days we waited and noone would show, taking time away from our jobs. Took over 3 months to redo our bathroom. Should have been done in 4-6 weeks. We paid him a large sum of money, but he did not pay the supplier and they are now going to put mechanics lien on our home, because supplies were delivered to my house. Have not heard anything in over a month now and no resolution. Our project was not completed and many things had to be redone. Sad that it seems like he used our money to pay for other projects and cut corners. Takes no responsibility. Will likely have to seek legal avenues. Be warned before contracting with them. Just sad!

I had the same thing happen to me with the deck situation they never past inspection with the ********************** and when told all the problems that needed fixing after waiting 2 months when they promised they would be back in a week I am still waiting now going on 3 months . They pour concrete which is a hot mess and promised to fix that too and that was last year. But they came and collected their money ****** on the spot. This company ***** will never use them again for anything

***** and his crew I would trust for any work I may need done. I truly cannot understand nor comprehend a negative review. Anytime we have needed a quote, advice, or actual work completed, Chi-Line has been there without question. Please focus on the positive reviews. We live in a world where people will find any reason to complain, justified or not. Chi-Line has taken care of us. You can trust that!

Working with Chi-Line Construction was a great experience. They were friendly and efficient! They respected our home & cleaned up all of the dust before they left. I definitely will be using Chi-Line Construction on my next project

Chi-Line made my basement dreams come true. Finished the job in the time they said it would be done and even catered to my last minute changes. I now have my dream office, space for friends and family to stay as well as a bathroom, and a beautiful area for my kids to play in.
