Chicagoland obviously never responded to my first complaint. Garage is finally completed after numerous calls and e mails. Original concrete that was broken, and promised to be fixed by ****(scheduler), ****(salesman) and *********************(owner) still not fixed. Electricians dug a trench width and length of yard. Left a pile of dirt along entire trench. Still not leveled. Owner, ****** promised to take care of. She used to respond to my e mails daily. Since my last payment, I have sent her more than 10 e mails with pictures on these items. She refuses to *********** that Chicagoland has my money. Horrible experience with office staff on this project. Tradesmen were good. I will not let up until *******(owners) promises and commitment to me are met.

Signed contract with Chicagoland for demo and rebuild in August. They came and did demo accordingly. They came and poured foundation accordingly. Broke corner of old driveway and still have not fixed. Friday,10/28/2022 was 9 weeks since foundation poured. Spoke with someone named **** numerous times. Tried to blame township permits. Final spot permit was approved Sept. 20th. I had to make all the calls. ****, after numerous calls and promises by him, guaranteed me garage build week of Oct. 17th. I canceled a work trip to be there. No one showed. He never called me. I contacted salesman, ********************** He said he will take over and get it done. It has been 3 weeks. **** also promised. Latest was that today carpenters and material will be there. Material showed at 8:00 AM. Thrown all over driveway and yard. Can't get my garbage's past it for tomorrows pick up. No carpenters showed up. Nothing but lies. The stress Chicagoland has put on me and my wife is immeasurable. Called to speak with President ******************** Not there. Hasn't called me back. Very disappointed in Chicagoland Garage Builders.

Beware the fine print and what the salesmen don't disclose up front! My contract was signed in August of 2021, but demo and construction did not begin until December. Concrete was done in the middle of winter. I was assured that it would be fine, although I've been advised otherwise. Unfortunately, there is a long crack in the apron concrete just after a few months. I called Chicagoland to see what can be done about it since they say that they "guarantee all workmanship for a period of 12 months", cracks in concrete are not. I was told that concrete is not guaranteed and, (surprise!), that is in the fine print in the back of the contract. Basically, too bad, you're out of luck! I know I need to take responsibility for my naivety, I just want to let anyone else like me to ask more questions. And, please, don't get me started on the electrical portion on the contract....!

**************, We are sorry you are unhappy with the warranty with respect to the concrete. We do go the extra mile to try to prevent cracks, unfortunately, concrete does crack. You also mentioned that the crack is on the apron. I do believe your apron is off the alley. I am also aware that garbage trucks normally drive on the alley aprons. These are exceptionally heavy vehicles. We do our best to make sure our customers are happy with the services we provide. Again, we are sorry you were unhappy.
