    I received a letter dated 04/11/2022 from Ade Medical Group stating if I did not pay $59.39 they would send it to a collection agency. I called them on May 5 inquiring what the $59.39 was even for since I had not seen this doctor for a couple years. The female took my number and said they would call me back. I called again on May 10 and they told me it was a copay from 2020. She explained that they changed ERT in 2019 and that bills were not being sent out until just recently(2022). I told her that I could not pay the whole amount and wanted to set up a payment plan, she said no. I told her if I had received this **** in 2020 I would have paid the full amount since I had money then. It is not my fault that their system failed and it took 2 years to send me a ****. This took too long for them to try to recover payment.

    I am rejecting this response because the company admitted it was their fault that the **** was not mailed out due to their billing system. Two years past the due date is definitely not a very timely manner to try to collect on their mistake. As I told them, if they would have sent me the **** two years ago when I had the money, I would have paid it in full, but being unaware and getting this notice now, when I have recently lost my job, I have no money for way past due bills and must set up a monthly payment plan.

    I am rejecting this response because the Ade medical group said I was made aware of their billing system failure that happened in 2019, but not until 2022. They stated that they immediately corrected the problem, if this truly was the case I would have received this **** in 2019, not 2022. They also stated I received bills since December 2021, however I never received any bills, if I did, I would have paid them. I ended my insurance with ********** Blue Shield in 2019 and when they do send EOBs it states this is not a ****, so if the doctor does not send me a ****, to me that means I owe nothing. I was trying to make a payment arrangement with this company, but obviously what I can afford now is not what they want, or it would cause them to lose money with setting up a payment plan. As stated before, in 2019 I had the money to pay but now after losing my job, I do not. It is not my fault that their computer system failed and no one noticed for this long. I wonder how many other people are dealing with this companies irresponsibility.
