  Over a period of 1 1/2 years starting in July 2022, I had this contractor agree to remodel my kitchen. This included replacing cabinet doors in kitchen, making the doors fit, paint, install pulls and build a kitchen island with the same finishes of paint. I paid the contractor $9100.00 with a remaining balance of $1750 due upon completion of the remodel. During the process I noticed several inconsistencies in the finishing, paint, doors falling off and not fitting properly. As I communicated this with the contractor he commented "I do not think I can make you happy." He agreed to re-do 5 doors that looked the worst however the remainder of the kitchen also needed to be addressed and he would not agree to do so. I had challenges for him to even come to the home to look at the work rather than just email him as he suggested. Since then I have sought the opinion of others (all professional contractors) and over and over again I have heard the same response being that the kitchen looks awful and needs to be re-done! I posted honest reviews online to inform others of the poor work and also in hopes he would realize that he basically took thousands of dollars from me without providing the service he committed to. Instead, he simply asked me to take down my reviews and instantly had others post positive reviews about his work. I have not been able to find Upscale Flooring and Carpentry on the BBB website so I am writing this complaint. Unfortunately I do not have a signed contract but have emails with receipts from this business and photos. I was only able to attach one document (receipt) based on the max **** of 5MB allowed here.   I understand your concern and frustration about this kitchen remodel project. I have reached out several times over the past two years. A number of times, I offered to finish the job and fix all of the inconsistencies in the cabinetry. Each time I offered to refinish the doors, I wouldnt hear back from you for months. Every text and email that you sent me was responded to almost immediately as shown in my records. I wanted to complete the job as originally proposed. My last proposal was emailed in March of 2023 to which you didnt respond. I only heard from you indirectly through a review in September 2023. Once again, I am willing to offer a re- sand and refinish on all of the doors and drawer fronts. A sand and refinish will fix the inconsistencies in the paint. A 30 day time period will allow the paint to cure and ensure a hard finish. Feel free to reach out if you would like to accept my offer.
