My car has been in & out of the service center for the past 2 months. First, they told me my cooling system was causing an error in the start-stop feature. I paid $1500 to get that fixed. 3 days later, the same error message came on. I called Oadey and he scheduled an appointment for 3 weeks later to look at it. I took it in and advised them that Autozone said my fuel injectors were bad so they should look into that. They ran their tests and I was told my spark plugs and coils were bad so I paid $1700 to get that fixed. The shop is on 89th and ******, I made it to ********************* and my check engine light came on THE SAME DAY I PICKED IT UP FROM THE ***** I called Oadey and advised him of the check engine light. He advised to bring it back. I took it back and they kept the car overnight and I was told the next day that my car was giving off false readings and they returned my car. The next day my car hesitated to start. It literally took almost 5 mins to crank it up. I called Oadey and he advised to bring it in. I then reitirated the fuel injectors and that's when ***** said those were the "false readings". He said the machine was saying my fuel injectors were misfiring but it wasn't actually happening. I drove the car back to the shop that day and they ran tests and said they had to change the 02 sensor to detect the problem and that's when the fuel injectors presented themselves bad. The very next day the check engine light came on and the car hesitated to start YET AGAIN. I took the car back and they said I had E85 gas in my car. I NEVER GO TO ANY GAS STATIONS THAT CARRY E85 so that was BULL! They said they needed to drain my gas, flush it and clean it and that should fix my problem. I paid $400 for that. EVEN AFTER DOING ALL THIS I WAS GIVEN MY CAR BACK "RUNNING TOO RICH" & MY CAR IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY & NO ONE CAN SEEM TO FIX THE ISSUE AT THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Servicing my car is not reliable. Since 2011 with now only ****** on 2015 Tiguan every three months my car has problems that no car with low mileage should have. It takes them two weeks for a diagnostic test on my car. Always stating they are busy even if you have an appointment. And it's as if the problems are always something that shouldn't happen. I really believe they either scamming me or putting in old parts. And yes I am a woman so I had to bring in my son on this situation. ****** is the service person I interacted with there at Oaklawn Volkswagen on Cicero.Review from Aldo G

There is a lot more volkswagen dealer, please dont go to this one. So long to pay me back 2k that i gave them for downpayment in cash. We had a deal but had to wait for my trade in ****** and i had to leave the jetta i had a deal on at the dealer and they went thru my stuff to take them out of the car to show it someone else when the car was already mine and they had said no one was going to touch. Thats when i decide not to buy their car and get my money back, 8 days later i am still waiting for my 2k check i am tire of calling them and texting them they are full of bs.... if i could i would give them -1 ??. Volkswagen of Oak Lawn are DISHONEST SCAMMERS. Do not be fooled by their ****** reviews. The owners actively remove or request removal for reviews they do not like despite the customer experience being factual such as mine. They ask all customers regardless if a purchase is made to give them a good review and will coach you on what to say. The salesman did this to me and presented QR codes to their various social media and waited until I made a post. I feel I was courteous and honest but they are Liars. On 3/18/23 and before I was very transparent about my financial profile not being the best at the moment. I openly said if you can't help now it's okay just let me know so we don't waste each other's time. I was still encouraged to come in. Even thought I completed an application online for them to pull my credit beforehand, I was asked to do so again when I arrived. I was told I got approved but the terms of the deal were unknown allegedly to the salesman and the salesman collected more personal info such as paystubs etc. I was told there was a negative item on my credit report that might be problematic. I advised I could provide documentation to dispute this and was encouraged to send it to the salesman which I did. The following week the salesman was supposed to get back to me which did not happen. After I reached out several times I was then told I needed a higher down-payment and agreed. Still no one confirmed if the credit document I provided was okay so I continued to reach out for answers to see if moving forward was an option. Everyone lied about calling back. Then yesterday I was told upon my reaching out I might need a co-signer and to await a callback that never happened. I've been given the run around for no reason when I was direct from the start. I don't like they collected my personal info for no reason. I know they saw my ****** review because the salesman magically called me today. At this point there is no trust as they are LIARS.Review from D R.

This business is stealing people's *** Refunds after they trade in their vehicle before the *** Warranty expires.Instead of refunding the difference of the *** Warranty initial cost from the time of the Warranty not used due to a vehicle trade-in, this company is allocating the money back to their bottom-line.This is illegal... because customers are due a refund for any portion of their *** Warranty not used. See ILCS:******** Statutes Chapter 215. Insurance 152/50.Examinations and enforcement provisions ------------------They will be sued if this isn't resolved in 30days. I recommend you do the same if they stole your refund money also.Review from ANTONIO W.

I had a 10:30am appointment 3 other women where also there however they kept my vehicle there until 4:30pm I was there for an oil change but they informed me about a ****** mile check up on my 2015 VW ******** edition vehicle they smile and informed me about a financial institution called ****** so I could qualify and pay monthly for the vehicle after telling me it's a few things they didn't have to do it would be a little less on the full payment which I thought was good I qualify after a phone and decided to go ahead Iwas informed by ******* the service person that it would be only a couple of hours thinking it would be done my 1pm so we left for about 30 min at 11:00 for breakfast at DD after returning my girlfriend started feeling a little sick so I asked how long would it take,, they held my car until 4pm so when it cam time pay they charged me the full price doing things they said they didn't have to do I had alread like rotating my tires but charged it anyway when it came down to the payment they said I couldn't use my bank card for payment under the ****** finance telling me I would need a separate debit card which they did not inform me of she made me feel like I would receive a debit card from ****** and all I had to do was pay the small balance payment like ***** but instead I had to pay the full payment had i not had the money they would have keep my vehicle thats misinformation and should be considered fraud I still have a hard idle and my spark plugs were changed we almost had an accident cause the front brakes slipped I feel like they made me belive in sunbit only to get the full payment putting me in a bind had I know that I would've just simply got myoil change they keep my car for 6 hours to build up on labor chargesVolkswagen of Oak Lawn Response

Ever since this dealership was taken over from ************************* the service I receive is HORRIBLE. They cant seem to keep Manager for long. I received a notice that my car was due service. There was nothing wrong with my cart and I dn[t drive it often. Every time I bring it in that is the ongoing joke. Well they informed me that i needed the full service done just because of the time i had the car. I get all my work done at this location. I may not drive the car often but I do take excellent care of my car. I paid over $2,200 for this full service. Last week the temp was 96 degrees. I turned on my air conditioning and it didnt work. It worked fine before they touched my car. If it didn[t I am sure when they did this full service they would have told me. Now they say they need to do a diagnostic check, which i have to pay for. WHY!!!!!!! When i asked for a manager by name they said he no longer works there. Another one gone, the acting service manager is not in today. They wasnt helpful as to who I can talk with they gave me the general VWs number and there is nothing they can do. I am frustrated again with this dealership and their customer service is HORRIBLE. They rarely answer the phones. Apparently I was spoiled by ************************* because even if they had bad news I still felt like a valued customer. And the bad news was when the diesel cars were on recall.Volkswagen of Oak Lawn Response
