In April had got estimate for front porch concrete steps replaced and sidewalk replaced. Someone came without talking to me wrote estimate. Mustve come here before because they knew that it was called under stairs and knew about sidewalk. I called several times to have someone come and talk about job over couple weeks. Nobody came. Couple weeks later a crew showed early one morning to start job. They started tearing up sidewalk. I was worried about porch structure because of a long crack in porch so I stopped them until I talked to owner. He said there was no problem so I let them proceed. Instead of just replacing steps they failed to put same amount of steps back. Instead of 8 steps they tried to make it 7? The bottom step is taller and still has a ramp like approach. Also they knocked out a bunch of bricks. Said bricklayer was coming. A week later he came. Meanwhile I had to tear off forms. Ive made several complaints. Owner will not come out and look at it. Only time he was here was to collect $$$! Collected second payment right before the pour was done. Im a idiot for not holding out some money I know! Im a tradesman on disability and didnt want to stand over the workers the intire time! Caught 1 s**** up on porch thought I was good. 2 of the crew did finally show weeks later and admitted that they screwed up. Owner still hasnt. Talked on phone many times. Nothing has happened! Steps are not to code! If someone falls Ill be sued. Theyre scammers. Easy job, shouldve taken one day. Been over a month. Cost me nearly $9,000. Thats a lot of money when on disability!!!

I looked at the job & left an estimate.
************** called & told us to proceed & put him on our schedule.

Existing threads & riser heights were not proper heights.

We tried to make proper heights & the bottom step was off a bit & we talked & text back we will be out to repair this & we will.

The bricks were loose at the bottom & we told him & did come back & relay them at no cost to Owner.

This was not that easy of a job & the stairs were vaulted & had to be framed from the inside also.

We had 7 guys there & were there 3 days with concrete, grinding & tuckpointing & stripping

I explained to ************** after surgery I have had health issues & we will be back out there to repair the issue.  I believe this was about 2 weeks ago

I have been off work & we will be out there shortly to make the repairs

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:Hes lying. Just needed to replace steps exactly like they were. Keeps saying he didnt charge me to replace bricks. They knocked the bricks out so of course! It used to be 8 steps and they made it 7. Its as simple as that. Its been over a month and now Im being ghosted. He sent workers over to look at it. They admitted it was wrong. He never came. I want them redone to code or my money back.

    Sincerely,

**** pointing the brick was part of estimate. So you didnt do me any favors. They were finished that day. I noticed the steps were wrong 5 days later when I had to strip forms. What good is it to be done if you leave it formed up! You say your going to fix it. When? Next summer how long am I supposed to wait? You didnt wait for $$$!!
