The wrong drip edge was installed the gutters were not rehung properly. No final inspection was done. They are trying to put a ***** dollar lein on my house.

We regret to learn about the recent encounter you had with our company. It has come to our attention that there may be some elements of confusion.
We did make the error by installing the wrong color drip edge on the house, which we offered to take care of. That service was refused.  A payment plan was set up, in person, to pay the remaining balance owed. There has not been any additional payments made since that agreement. After an adequate amount of time, we had no choice but to place a lien on the property to protect our business. We have been fair and would like to resolve this matter.

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: They did not offer to replace the drip edge. They offered to paint it. The job has failed per county inspector of ****************. It is not up to code.

    Sincerely,

I am filing this complaint on behalf of Bison Sports Warehouse. Baney Replaced our Metal Roof for an Insurance Claim in 2017. The new roof had leaks even at the onset. Baney was responsive at the onset, but later we were told repeatedly that the drips were secondary to condensation ONLY even though the leaks were only evident when it rained or when the snow on the roof was melting. Despite countless requests to ********** to have the leaks resolved, we still have leaks 5 years later. At one point, he had the audacity to raise his voice to me claiming, You never believed me when I said it was condensation! They even talked us into hiring another company to modify the insulation under the roof to resolve condensation, but we still had leaks afterwards. Yes, they were notified. This past fall, we had an outside roofer take a look at the roof who noted poorly seated screws and disintegrating rubber washers. So, I relayed that information again to Baney, who sent out **** to have a look. **** seemed apologetic and promised to ask ******** to have a roofer come out and take a look. He even found damage to our ceilings but attributed it to a problem with our gutter installation, even though those gutters had only been up a month! That was last October 2021. Fast forward to April 2022. Still no one has repaired our roof. We again contacted Baney. We were told that WE were supposed to contact the gutter company and thats why no one had been out. **** met with us again on April 18, 2022 and promised to send out a rooferagain.and that was a few weeks agoand he again blamed it on our new gutters and promised to have a roofer out.but now no response. . In the meantime, we have had these leaks for 5 years and cant seem to get Baney to repair the roof they installed. Please see photos. We have confirmation of leaks on our roof and only want them repaired to avoid further damage to our ceilings and mold in our insulation.

After the new roof was installed we were notified that they noticed some dripping during the winter months.  We inspected the exterior of the roof and did not notice anything with the installation that would cause concern for a leak.  Our next step in the process of figuring out where the dripping was coming from was to have the existing insulation inspected.  A 3rd party company Metro Insulation came out, inspected, and determined that the insulation did not have a vapor barrier.  The combination of the extreme cold outside and the warm heat inside, along with no vapor barrier and insufficient insulation led to the determination by Metro that insulation and vapor barrier was needed in order to eliminate the heat loss and fix the condensation issue.  Bison agreed to have this done and once it was, Baney did not hear about anything leaking or dripping until after Bison had new gutters installed.  Bison called us to inspect the leaks in or near the offices and upon our inspection we noticed the new gutters were completely clogged with debris which did not allow water to flow into the downspouts and in turn, caused water to backflow from the gutters and into the building (see pictures and videos).  Bison had  3rd party roofer come out and inspect the roof for them in Oct 21 and during his inspection found fasteners that were not seated properly and some rubber washers that had shown signs of deterioration.  Baney did address the issue.  We removed the bad screws and washers even though at this point warranty had expired.   On 5/5 Baney did have our commercial roofing ******* go out and replace 200 or so screws.  We noticed that some of the screws were shearing off about an inch to halfway down.  We have since reached out to the manufacturer and supplier of the fasteners to have them come out and inspect the product.  Fasteners shearing off is a first time occurrence.  We are assuming there is some movement in the building causing added stress to the rafters which is causing this to happen but we will not know for sure until it is inspected.   We will keep Bison notified of the date of inspections.
